Get pressure on evans and dawson early and we could score a goal. important not to give one away to rodriguez at the other end!

"west ham looking to slow things down" I just cringe. When they are deliberate they never pass well.

Cheech, Chong, and Antonio -- all three overlapping just outside the centre circle. Pretty much says it all so far. But if they spread the WBA defence, and apply a bit more pace and forward thinking, this match is there for the taking.

Collins comes off -- he obviously wasn't fit after he went down in the 1st half. Then Arnautovic comes in and Antonio is moved to the wing-back, with Zabaleta in the back three. Not long after that Arnautovic goes down in crumpled heap. WBA attacking the right side now (and it's the first spell of attach they've had all match). Hope Slaven knows what he's doing, but I just don't know.

Antonio was almost completely taken out of the match by the repositioning. Have barely heard from him in second half.

Carroll had a fair but not great game. Hate to say it but 4-4-2 might have provided the answer to this match.

Very nil nil that.
Fair play we looked solid, another point on the board I would've taken that before kick off.

We get a point, but not out of relegation. Baggies play the most NEGATIVE football ever, but don't be fooled -- this was an insipid performance from the Hammers. Nothing to do in defence (WBA didn't have a shot on target until about 87'), but no way through the wall of 10 men. Dreadful.

After the shit start we've had ashes, I would've taken a point at West Brom any day of the week.
Crap it might have been but a point is a point in my book.
The quality of ball into the middle wasn't up to scratch today, Cresswell's delivery wasn't the best so for me playing Hernandez centrally and sacrificing Carroll wouldn't have made a difference (apart from Carroll's defensive qualities being a plus of course).....Onwards and upwards you Irons!

By all accounts pretty dull match, but like irons i would have taken a point before the game,we havnt had a decent result at the hawthorns for some time...4 points from 2 games,no goals conceded its been a better week imo!!

a point any day, did not see the game as internet connection very poor at the mo, but stats show we had most of the play.

We did alright fellas.
If I was a WBA supporter I wouldn't be happy with that sort of performance at home - Typical Pulis set up I think.

Burkie 1

Ayew's never been worth the cash imo burkie, a professional footballer that's f**ked if the ball goes on his right side is unacceptable for £20m.
Granted he pop's up with the odd poachers goal but I dunno, maybe he'll make me eat a bit of humble....I hope he do to be honest.
Arnautovic needs matches before any condemnation from me.
F**k how we missed Lanzini's creativity though!

Didn't see match but radio said it was dreadful. We have passed the ball as a team badly for what seems to be ages now. It's what we were always renowned for as a club. Excitement, passing and running with the ball. And people say bilic gets us! Pah what cobblers. I understand what people say about getting the point but in my mind playing the West Ham way is far more important. The club won't get a penny from me until I see football worthy of me making an effort to journey down and pay £100 plus for the day. As for bilic we all know the formation he WANTS to pay (not the one he has for the last 2 games) and to do that effectively we have to pass the ball well as a team. So why hasn't he bought better passers? Or indeed got the ones already here to pass better. Point got again today but for me the performance is as turgid as ever. So we have yet to turn the corner. The board may not sack him this season if he picks up points but he is way off a new contract. I'd rather watch an allardyce team ATM. P.s stop playing players out of position! With players like Hernandez and Antonio you want to get them on the ball as much as you can in dangerous positions, rather than shoe horn them into a team nullifying their effect.

keeping clean sheets and getting 4 points from 2 games & making us hard to beat,i'll take that from how we started out, considering we had shipped 10 in our previous 3 games, hopefully we go above the toffos tomorrow

I think we should take positives: clean sheet, 4 points from 2 matches, point away from home. Maybe that will help set us up for a little run. Apart from Spurs, there's a lot of weak teams coming up.

It just takes confidence, it was overall a poor game and despite one shot on target and hitting the bar (wouldn't that have been a Goal of the season candidate!) WBA did not hit the target until the 88th minute!
So defensively we did ok the positive for me though was when Collins went off he sent on Arnautovic which showed attacking intent which is a step forward but better a 0-0 than the 0-4 and 0-3 drubbings against The Mancs and Geordies. If the intention is to shore up the defence and midfield so we don't concede get the forwards firing then we will get somewhere and George Graham did that at Arsenal.

Everton were awful. Spent a lot more than we did, too. Still think Chicha was wasted and that a 4-4-2 would have taken down WBA. Let's see where we are after 4 more league matches.
