Fans Up In Arms At Pathetic West Ham Transfer Activity But Why Was It So?

Even before the January transfer window closed West Ham United have confirmed that there will be no new additions to an already threadbare squad with the exception of the North East's 'Messi' Preston North End striker Jordan Hugill , who was an ideal West Ham signing because he was cheap and Hammers manager David Moyes stlll had a lot of sway at the club where he began his managerial career and was able to dig up enough dirt in order to get the 'deal' over the line.

Essentially Hugill is an Andy Carroll clone who is not as talented but is much much fitter, he will offer the plan B option that Moyes has been lusting after and may well prove to be a solid signing, but West Ham fans will have been quick to do the maths and have seen that Ayew and Sakho have yielded around £22 - 28 Million in revenue as opposed to the £9 Million in expenditure for Hugill and possibly £2 Million in agents fees and add ons for the Jaoa Mario transfer on loan from Inter.

There seems that there should have been at least an £11 Million war chest available for some late transfer activity given the recent out goings from the club however the closed sign has been put up at the London Stadium already meaning the publicly declared 'funds available' to David Moyes will not be utilised.

Since this year's ruling that clubs are no longer allowed to borrow money from off shore 'loan facilitators' against their prospective commercial activities West Ham United have been on the back foot financially, the same thing happened to Everton who were forced in to taking over seas owners in all but name because they were no longer able to 'rob peter to pay paul'. The venerable Bill Kenwright used the Bahama gate funding facility for years in order to keep his beloved club afloat but eventually was unable to continue the facade.

Maybe now is the time for West Ham United's owners to break the cast and say it how it really is to the legion of fans who will always support West Ham United come hell or high water, why not say "actually we are broke, we cannot borrow money as easily as we used to in the past and due to the high wages we have paid in order to try to compete with the other teams scrapping to stay in the Premier League we don't have a pot to piss in!

We at the Org think fans would be far more forgiving if they felt they were being fed the truth instead of a whole load of smoke and mirrors. - Ed

Forgiving if they told the truth your having bubble ed eh. Firstly they wouldn't know the meaning of truth and all's we ask for is for Brady bunch to sell up and f--k off out of our club.

I think the catalogue of lies since day 1 has put them beyond forgiveness to be far Nev. It's one lie after another with these guys, but I will say fair play in that they didn't come out daily via their mouthpiece lil sully claiming a who's who of top Internationals would be joining as has been the case in previous years.
Seems like they were partially honest this time around in that they were working to get bodies in, it's just the expectations, built on previous years lies, expected more and we have in fact been delivered par for the course.

Hugill? Preston fans are laughing at us - just bought a player who cost them 25k for 9 mill and has only scored 19 goals... he's noted for his hold up play but then so was Callieri - we need someone to bang them in as well! Chico wants out and ain't happy so if he's gonna start scorong for us like the player were excited about when he forst arrived, this Hugill guy has his work cut out! That's assuming Hugill wss bought to partner Chico and not be used as a loan striker... at this rate I would preferred if Ayew stayed! Hope I'm proven wrong.

This reminds me of John Lyall's time when money was short and our Board sold players and kept the profits rather than look to the future (The Brown's) He bought Jenkins and Taylor from the lower divisions and for a time it worked (FA Cup win in 1975) but we ended up back in the Championship as the club continued to sell our best players. John even lost his job as a scape goat for the inept board. I get this awful feeling of Da-Ja vu as we look like repeating history.

Moyes certainly does have his work cut out just as John Lyall did way back in the late 70's. Don't worry though Dicksy we have just signed another exciting forward from the National league for under £1m in Oladapo Afolayan. he started at Chelsea and came to us via Solihull. Aged 21 and just about shows where the Board are in terms of Champions League and signing top players to get us there!!!!!

Don't no the lad and not going to knock him and judging by the usual pics released of new signings he looks like someone who cannot believe his luck....as for our transfer activity it shows yet again why i choose to no longer financially support the club through shop purchases or setting foot inside that athletics stadium....those clowns in charge are making money hand over fist and spitting in the face of fans...will we go down? who knows but unless our injury list eases up it is going to be close....so this iconic new stadium with world class facilities that will help us compete with the best in the league has shown to be what we all new to be total bulls**t..... as for competing for the champions league places lets reword it in the right way its CHAMPIONSHIP places.

I agree with that, his face does show he cant believe his luck.Best not to judge at this stage, but lets face it,no one has heard of him,and if he was a player of hidden talent, the Arse and other North London lot would of shown interest, even the Mancs and thrown their hat in the ring, but nothing,no interest from anywhere.

I watched this and a couple of the other viddies and was near about in tears seeing the ordinary fan, the lifelong fan, the young fan, the established fan --- all of them disillusioned at the betrayal, from the promises of gold to the reality of a big round donut with no atmosphere and no marquee signings.

Personally I think Hawkins idea of filming it like that has more impact. He, like me must be raging inside but had the self control to present it like that. I get the impression this is gaining some real momentum. Minimum I want is explanations and truth. I would prefer them out but till I hear some truth I can't be sure. Trouble is the truth from them 3 just ain't gona happen.

I can't help thinking selling ayew to a direct rival is going to bite us on the arse. Maybe going down will keep them quieter! Wouldn't you just love to show them where their dildo should go. As for Jordan hugill his interview sounds like a breath of fresh air. By what I've heard about him I'd like to think he could be a foil for Hernandez, in Moyes eyes. I'd say arnie and lanzini will stay plan A but hugill and Hernandez could easily be a plan B. He doesn't have a great scoring record but he might have been bought to bring out the chances to get the most from the players around him and if that's Hernandez, I won't be moaning if he scores only one whereas Hernandez scores another 10
