Not sure about this! A lot to ask of Cresswell on his first game back, I hope he is fully fit... and as for Antonio he could run all day down the flank but hope the back 3 are enough to cover the defence

Rwb can't see a better option really with Byram out and Arbeola picking up a knock, nordveit could play there but the longer he is on the pitch the more worried I become. At least Antonio's offensive capabilities make up for some of his defensive frailties, plus with kouyate playing CB and obiang on the pitch he should have more cover than usual.... Hopefully lol

Hopefully lanzini puts in a better display on the defensive side of things too, I know it's not the part of his game we love to watch but I think part of the problem this season it that last year when Antonio and lanzini were playing they were great at getting back and helping out, so much so that any talk of lanzini being lightweight soon faded and Antonio was nearly made a rb

He picked up a knock apparently. As did Randolph but I think Randolph is more likely being punished for his night out with Carroll

Best first half of football by us by a country mile this season.
We deserved that bit of luck with Benteke missing that pen right on half time, we've totally bossed that half.
Cresswell has been immense but surely he'll tire due to lack of match fitness so we need to keep pressing the ball high up and stop Townsend getting one on one with Cresswell.
Looked like we were last season, don't look like we are lacking confidence at all.
Love to see Zaza get a goal he's worked his gonads off, I've a feeling it would do the blokes confidence a world of good....COYI!

Cheers mate! Sounds like a real travesty - luckily we held out until the end! I could only listen on R5L but sounded like we deserved to win... Hopefully will get the red appealed or can you not for two bookings, only straight reds?

I must admit I started out slating Zaza in the first half, but appreciated the effort he put in and loved his reaction at the end. Not saying he's the answer, but would like to judge him after he gets a couple of goals. Just doesn't seem to get into many scoring positions.

who got him sent off by not awarding the blatant penalty, instead of booking him for diving!
Great performance from the boys tonight.
Zaza gets10 out of 10 for effort.
He never stopped running.

Terrific performance, Cresswell should've had a pen himself up the other end!
Unbelievable effort, I love the way we won today....Anybody calling for the managers head wants to have a word with themselves to be honest.

I too would give great credit to Zaza for effort but im afraid he just hasn't got what it takes ,sure he had a couple of nice glancing headers on but when the ball is played into his feet its like his legs are made of rubber ,we had this for 8 years with C C with players reluctant to play the ball to him ,hurry back Andy .
Just watching BT aftermatch ,great banter with Slavin ,arry and Wrighty ,i reckon arry is lookin for a place on the board ,he's making a right fuss of us

Burkie 1

No chance, bloke burnt his bridges after what he did to Bonzo.
Don't get me started on my hero Sir Trev - Redknapp can fk off as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah Zaza just ain't cutting the mustard for me either Burkie. I could go out and run my arse off for 90 minutes and produce nothing of any consequence just like him and the obvious man to compare him with CC. I'm glad he put in a good shift, but strikers have to score goals and this fella couldn't do it if the opposition played without a keeper, I'm sure of that.

So glad we showed our true potential today. Must admit to getting worried where the 'guts and glory' football of last season went, but it appears to have just been a blip.

I know his red can't be rescinded but i think we should at least use the video evidence to ask why Cresser got a yellow and Zaha didn't for apparent 'diving'.

Roll on next week...COYI

Officials messed up big style and should take a long hard look at themselves! But that was a superb team effort! To a man every player fought for each other, the conditions did not help either side with a lot of wayward passing at times but for me pleasing that the players worked as a unit, so hats off to Slav and his backroom staff.

Why is it Costa and Aguero didn't get second yellows that they fully deserved in matches against us, but Cresswell gets two yellows, neither of which is deserved? We could so easily have drawn or even lost this match. But our man of the match, just back from long injury, is served a suspension and will have to miss the next match. WTF! This is why I cann't stand the game anymore. Still love West Ham, and proud of the resilience they showed. It's really tough when you've had a bad run like ours and face an in-form team away and beat them. Full credit to the lads. But the sport is virtually unwatchable now for all the shifty decisions made week in and week out.

Inconsistency is more like it....or just down right incompetence.

Atkinson and his creepy tell-tales linesman were bollocks and should be banned for a month, or two. Cresswell was so brilliant and did we ever miss him and now he misses a game, thanks ref you twat. During the after match Slav interview, I'm pretty sure l heard Slav call Harry 'Boss' a couple of times.

At the very least the ref and linesman should be demoted for a long while for decisions that are just rank imcompetance. They had clear views close in and still came up with such poor decisions! How can a player who should never even have been booked get 2 and be sent off!
