De Gea Does A Robertoesque Joe Hart, Gago Waiting In The Sidelines!

Goalkeepers are a strange breed, in a way they are much akin to drummers, desperate and disparate souls, after all, who would willingly play an instrument that takes a pernicious Addison Lee 'men in black' delivery vehicle a lot of time, and a whole lot of money to deliver them to their venue?

Goalkeepers by the very nature of their job have to be (a) resilient, and (b) impervious to criticism from the masses. When David Sullivan and David Gold signed ex-Manchester City keeper Joe Hart they thought they had pulled off one of the deals of the century, after all, wasn't Joe Hart once deemed the best goalkeeper in the World?

The truth is, he once was, with the operative word being in the past tense, a brilliant goal keeper who unfortunately believed their own myth, his advisers who sanctioned his 'unbeatable' head & shoulders ads have a lot to answer for!

Once upon a time Manchester United's David De Gea was viewed as the best keeper in the Barclays Premier League, and possibly in the World, but his fall from grace has been spectacular to the point that his current OPTA rating is not far off that of Hammer's 'goal keeping leg end' Robero Jiminez Gago, they are both Spanish, share a love for a predication of 'fisherman's tattoos', and are both currently useless!

Joe Hart went from hero to zero in a relatively short space of time for a keeper, David De Dea is a recent addition to the appalling keeper stakes, but he will really have to pull up trees if he wants to match the 'car crash' that was Roberto, although De Gea is doing pretty well in his stead! - Ed

Even when he was an England starter and the same goes with the current England Gk Pickford...he is an accident waiting to happen...as for us and our history of Gk's Lama/Mcknightmare/Roberto you can say Parkes/Ludo/Fabianski as they say it is a thankless position to play in either you are the hero or the villain

I think a lot boils down to money, any coincidence players get richer ,then lose their hunger to get better, and believe that they are gods
