West Ham United currently sit two points behind Manchester United and with the same goal difference, this coming Saturday Hammers are at home to Watford then travel to Southampton on the 27th and Burnley on the 30th before welcoming Brighton to the London Stadium. The Red Devils have Cardiff, Huddersfield, Bournemouth and Newcastle to come, so will be expecting to pick up plenty of points but with their current malaise under the "Sour One' Jose Mourinho who knows?

Having lost their first four games under Manuel Pellegrini, West Ham appeared to be rudderless with many questioning whether the 65 year old Chilean had 'lost it' during his time managing Hebei China Fortune following his departure from Manchester City. Unbeknown to many, he had already held in depth discussions with the Hammers hierarchy about becoming manager at the London Stadium, and would only commit to the cause when he had been guaranteed a sizeable war chest to completely revamp the entire squad.

Although Manuel Pellegrini was backed by the board substantially, the club's outlay was a fraction of that spent by Manchester United under the guidance of Mourinho, which makes Pellegrini’s achievement of being two points off of Mourinho's quite something, and Pellegrini has his team playing attractive fast flowing football. Even Michael Owen, not particularly known for liking West Ham, whilst doing the post match comments for BT Sport following Hammers 2-0 victory over beleaguered Fulham, alluded to the fact that Hammers are set up like a 'Champions League' club!

Obviously, we are biased here at the Org, but even viewing recent West Ham games through claret and blue tinted spectacles we have to say the kind of fare on offer from the under achieving side of Manchester is dull, boring and the kind of anti-football usually associated with the likes of Sam Allardyce and David Moyes, it is not only our opinion, Premier League Predictions have slashed the odds-on Hammers finishing above United.

Both Allardyce and Moyes have of course managed West Ham, but neither understood or even believed in the existence of the 'West Ham Way', funnily enough Manuel Pellegrini knows all about the West Ham Way, as do his players, one of which, the reinvented Robert Snodgrass, confirmed as much in an interview recently by saying that the manager expected players to give 100%, nothing less, and in essence that is the mythical West Ham Way.

Qualification for Europe would be a wonderful start for Manuel Pellegrini's tenure, and something that is now within reach, ironically the only competition he has failed to win is the Europa League. Wouldn't it be nice if he was able to further torment the supporters of Manchester United by ensuring his team finish above Mourinho's by pipping them to sixth spot? - Ed

Well,im going to come straight out with this, and say,and I don't think it is speaking too soon..............I think we have turned the corner!!!! Look at the injuries, and we are still racking up the points, and I reckon we will sort out Watford this Saturday aswell.Pellegrini is a wise old Owl,and I know it has been said, that the likes of Citeh, and the rest with a bottomless pit of money,is easy to manage at the top and nothing like being in a dog fight, but Pellegrini has in my opinion proved his salt, not only has he managed at the top,but he has got his 100mill working and winning with us,and as you all know the West Ham way isn't easy, just winning for us has never been easy, look at Snodgrass!!!!! the man is playing out of his skin, forget Anderson and Arnie, the top guns will be looking at him before long, carry on like this, and it will be the case of WE ARE MANUELS CLARET AND BLUE ARMY ringing round Stratford.
