After a series of protracted medicals and complex loan negotiations, despite being injured, Alex Song has returned to the Boleyn from parent club FC Barcelona, the midfielder's arrival uses up one of the loan berths available to West Ham United under the transfer system, Carl Jenkinson has already been signed on loan from Arsenal for another season. Hot on Song's heels is the impending arrival of another loanee ,Victor Moses, from Chelsea who is apparently under going a medical this morning with a view to joining Slaven's away day wonders.
Song, Moses and Jenkinson are all loan players, which does not leave much room when it comes to further player recruitment. The club will have to make permanent signings or look to players who are out of contract after the window closes this evening. - Ed

Just like to say a big thankyou to Gold Sullivan and Brady a few years ago we were down in the Championship Big Sam did the business and now we have a new ground and some rally tallented players and i'll be surprised if we dont make the dreaded Europa League, but this time with a bigger and better squad, I dont think it will be for fair play though, feeling we have blown that some how. But I think we have every chance of getting into the top 7 with the players we got today, Very good Business Mr G&S we need this cover now as we have quite a lot of players that will be involved in the African Nations cup which starts on the 16th Jan know its a long way of but still got to be thought about

So Jack Sullivan has tweeted to say 2 more signings after Song and Moses loan deals. Jelavic deal has just been confirmed. Signs are that Adebeyor will be the other signing. Perhaps Adebeyor will have his Spurs contract ended and sign a new 1-year deal with us as unattached player (so 6 o'clock deadline doesn't apply)?
I would like to see a different striker option to Adebeyor but doesn't seem likely now. Presumably the Moses deal means we will not pursue the Antonio bid either. Overall however it has been a very productive transfer window.

I am relatively happy with these loans/signings but it does smack of rummaging around in the bargain bins.
