Hammers down to the bare bones? Looks more like an autopsy! (actually, it doesn't look that bad!)

Yeah, on paper the first eleven appears not too bad. But you only have to look at the bench to see it is just papering over the cracks. Of all the subs named only Jarvis is currently a first team squad member. All the others hail from our development squad.

That must be the best team from the players available,yet a lack of regular goal scorers in the side.Whoever they bring in now before the transfer deadline Tuesday need to be regular goalscorers,because the side is going to struggle big time to win matches

Lanzini is very skilful and comfortable on the ball as is Payet.Kouyate having a good game.Defence looks pretty solid well supported by the midfield.

Best first half of football I've seen in a long while, everyone looks full of energy and well up for it.
