We give away two soft free kicks in front of goal, we deserve to be punished

Once again we're making a poor team look world class. This just proves what I said during the week about momentum. Why tinker with a side that were on a good run?????

Lanzini banned and Noble injured, one is our main play maker , the other our only reliable penalty taker, our midfield was over run!

For all the stick Noble gets every season, it always ends the same with him turning out to be our most important midfielder. Team doesn't play well without him and nobody else can take pens so consistently.

below us look like champions, we play terrific for three games and then play a team at home that haven't won for months and we play shit. We need to get a couple of decent players with a bit of heart and get rid of some dead weight.

Our weaknesses have been shown up at the likes of out of form everton at the time & now newcastle...too much deadwood in this team,we need more players like arnie & arthur who put a shift in

how badly we need the midfield strengthening...its all very well getting points from teams we dont expect to get them from but when we need to get on the front foot we are very one dimensional...hence the desperate hoof it up to carroll as plan B......so 9 games without a win and there you go newcastle a nice christmas gift wrapped and given to you enjoy now....carroll/ayew/Reid yes you are reading it right i said Reid all need to go imo sak will go to so use any money you get wisely mr moyes and get stuck into the players tomorrow morning!

We lost our passing game early on why in gods name dont they give Mmartinez a try instead of Carroll & Sacho if these two are not gone in January i see a massive strugle ,said it before we need a 15 /20 a season established striker

Why is it that Benitez always seems to successfully set up his team against Westham? They are really becoming our bogey team. They are not a bad side ,unlucky to lose 1-0 to Arsenal in their last match, too good to go down with Benitez in charge.Westham had 63% possession, 19 shots at goal,6 on target compared to Newcastle's 11 shots at goal and 4 on target ,but they were more ruthless in front of goal.Arnautovic and Masuaku still the pick of the bunch, not overly impressed by the midfield, missed Lanzini.Desperately need a Makalale type holding midfielder who doesn't wander, breaks up play and can provide good distribution....Cavahlo would be ideal, but little chance him coming to us.Moyes ,obviously doesn't rate Hernandez enough to start a game nor Sakho, can see them moving on ,along with Ayew who hasn't really held down a starting position.Carroll is good to keep for a Plan B,unless a decent offer comes in.Antonio and Arnautovic are the two Moyes prefers,so I can see another striker coming in,along with a holding midfielder and a center back for the aging Collins and Fonte.Still a long way off from challenging for Europe based on this performance,a big injection of transfer money is needed in the summer to take this club forward.

I'm sorry but Moyes needs his head tested for playing those 2 chancers kouyate and ayew. We are trying to build a foundation to move ahead of the relegation and those 2 have been fundamental to the weak brushed aside attitude that has been at the club for too long! Rice was a perfect fit to replace noble and be that second shield for the centre halves and dropping either arnie or big Mick in the hole and play sakho and out and out striker. For neither to get a look in is quite frankly mystifying. Sell both ayew and kouyate ( if he won't play centre half) both have for some reason, reputations that's get decent prices above their current abilities. They just don't fit how we had been playing! Bloody strange that neither had a big say in our short unbeaten run.

Another mish mash of a transfer window. I mean, what decent player in their right mind would want to come to us? Unless of course he wants to earn big money for doing sod all!!!!! Look at Hernandez....he was said to be our best ever signing and now he can’t even make the starting line up.

I agree with you Bob ,cant think of many teams where he wouldnt get a regular spot bet he wishes he stayed in Germany .
Imo Antonio needs a break away from football ,hes gone stale anyway i cant see how hes become a cult hero at the club

3-5-1-2 is what I would like to see,two up front ,with Lanzini sitting behind. It's the two up front that is the issue.Moyes is still working out the best combinations and I don't think is totally convinced about their quality.Pace and movement up front is what worries defenders ,sends them into panic mode especially when numbers get into the box which Newcastle were doing well today ,unsettling our defence.Westham dont seem to be getting the numbers into the opposition box, thats why I prefer two out and out strikers up front..Arnautovic has really impressed me of late ,the guy is proving his valuation, involved in many of the attacks, has pace, cool under pressure and knows where the goal is,and he is tracking back and helping out in defence,he deserves his place.Antonio has gone off the boil, whether he is carrying an injury or just not fully fit,I don't know ,but he is not hitting the form we know he can play at,and Ayew hasn't overly impressed either.Hernandez up top with Arnautovic looks the best option,a natural goal scorer, but must have the supply line of balls to run on to.Sakho is another who should get his chance ahead of Antonio and Ayew.Someone tell me what role are Obiang and Kouyate being used today? Were they just center midfielders ,who was holding ,was their an attacker,I couldn't really determine their roles.Kouyate is so more effective in that attacking midfield role, but he hardly had any impact in that final third today .Neither are really that comfortable on the ball, who can play that killer pass,or have good movement which is where the midfield lacks.

Recorded it as I was out on it last night but can't bring myself to watch it after reading the comments on here and Twitter. Saw the lowlights on Optus sport and left very disappointed. WTF was Ayew doing? Has to go in Jan with a select few. I'm so over it at the moment. Up and down like a whore's drawers.
Merry Christmas one and all x

Why did ayew take that pen? The bloke obviously has a crisis of confidence! You never give a penalty to someone how lacks confidence unless he is your normal taker! So if you are in any doubt who takes it it has to be a good striker of a dead ball who is currently full of confidence and it has already been said that man is arnie. Wish we would just use some common sense sometimes!

For me yesterday showed clearly our biggest problem is centre midfield. We had a starting point the last couple of games an injury to noble and ban for lanzini and the whole thing collapses!
