Yeah I was thinking about that, but which of the 4 mid-fielders do you drop to start him? It's tough. But if 1 isn't playing well, Sam should bring Amalfitano on at half time, not wait until the last 15 mins.

Then we close the gap to 2 points on the swans-8th place still on!Lose & palace, everton catch us up then 12th will be more realistic.Attacking line-up,throw the shackles off sam & lets see us go for it...

Wouldn't be surprised. It never occurs to Sam that you can win a game by scoring more goals, as well as by keeping the other side out. It's one of the reasons we need a new man.

Notice Adrian having a joke with the officials as they went off? Not stupid that lad, never hurts to have refs and linos think you're good bloke! :-)

that if you are going to lose the ball, do it going forward not back toward your own goal.

Sam has no fxxxxxx idea on how to win a game, all he knows is get one goal and park the bus. Possession doesn't matter to him it's all about holding on well Sam that don't bloody work and as for his subs thank Christ there is only one Nolen and only one Cole.

What the hell was Nolan's role supposed to be? An attacking midfielder? Really? You have Cole coming in for Sakho, meaning now you have given up on the pace of the game, then you bring on Nolan who cannot carry the ball forward. When have you seen Nolan running with the ball? Hate to say this but Stoke deserved more than a point with BFS stupid substitutions. Why not try out Poyet or one of the youngsters, instead of Nolan? We are going to finish in the bottom half as both Stoke and Palace will go past us. Where are the 3 points going to come from? Definitely not against Man City.

I said before the game that I thought G&S would only sack him if we had a bad loss, but that was almost like a bad loss... 35% possession at home to effing STOKE!!!!???? Can't bear to listen to his excuses, they are so much drivel. We've scored more than 1 goal a pathetic 3 times since the middle of December... the man is anti-football and should be dismissed ASAP. JUST GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

our bad loss was the week before, with yet another inept performance against a side who'd only won four games all season ??
The man is a complete Richard with no tactical nous whatsoever !!!

Lol .. He certainly is taking the *iss .. Only 35% Possession playing at Home against Stoke .. Whatever next ? .. Then to add insult to injury he (Allardyce) then also put's Cole and Nolan on before Nene !

And sickens the stomach as well. What has happened at West Ham? How can a team that played so well before Christmas have lost all its verve, nerve, guile, and graft? Second half was particularly abysmal, an accident waiting to happen, 3rd time Arnautovic not just lucky -- you have to say they deserved it. Please G&S end the misery now. Caretaker manager might at least allow a ray of light in.

it 20 mins into the game, same old same old, why have a squad if he brings on the same old trash.

I like Cole, don't get me wrong -- he's been a good servant for WHUFC. Taken a pay cut, came back when they called under ridiculous circumstances last season, etc. But it's hard to see Hughes making a move for him now!!! And Nolan is so obviously past it that it doesn't bear mentioning. Might as well bring on Waste O'Space.

Does he have a say in the substitutions? I think BFS likes to have it all his way. You do not see the two of them discussing or even sitting next to one another on the bench. For the short term the owners should ask Sheringham to be in charge for the next match and move BFS into the stands. If Sheringham improves the team then demand that BFS change the style or leave without having to sack him. Yes, BFS did very well to bring The Hammers back to the top flight and keep them there. Definitely his style is stuck in the last decade and most teams in the top flight groom their youngsters to bring in pace and energy that we severely lacked today. Song's face said it all when he was substituted, to the disappointment of not only the fans, but the rest of the West Ham team. Song can carry the ball forward, he has the skill maybe not the pace, but then you bring on Nolan, and you might as well say to the West Ham side, I am setting you a challenge to play as if you have only ten men on the pitch and you have to defend that stupid 1-0 lead. Shocking!!

That's indefensible. If he's done it once, he can do it again. Yes, that's a positive sign; been since Diamante that I've seen a free kick like that.

Gutted about the late equaliser but to be honest it was the least that Stoke deserved. A poor game despite leading for most of it as we tried to sit back on a 1-0 lead since the 7th minute. Don't know why we didn't take the game to Stoke and search for more goals as they were flat footed to begin with.

Give credit where due I was at the game and thought Stoke totally out played us. I thought Adams totally bossed the midfield, this was one of our best starting elevens and we looked like the away side trying to hit Stoke on the break. Our midfield was slow and sluggish, Noble and Song doesn't work, no pace. We can string more than four passes and constantly passing backward to Reid and Ginger just to lump it forward for the Stoke defence to mop up and take control with great possession and passing. I can't stand Allardyce but this was a team I would also have picked from the squad so it's time the players took some responsibility and not go missing in games. On too many occasions there was no obvious out let to pass the ball unlike Stoke that worked hard and played as a team.... Mark Hughes, take a bow!

I think it's a genuine issue. Sakho and Valencia can put on the afterburners, but apart from them, who in our side really has great pace? I think Cresswell and Jenkinson do OK but they aren't the fastest. I like Noble a lot, but he's always a step behind. Nolan and Song are downright slow. Downing - medium. But you can make up for lack of true speed, to a certain extent, with quick-thinking and movement off the ball. We don't seem to show that very much either. This is an area that MUST be worked on if West Ham are to become a team that can compete in the top 8.
