Is Arbeloa fit then? I wish Nordveit would just feck off. Just him being on the bench bothers me. I break out in a cold sweat when he's on the pitch.

Edit: Martinez should be on that bench too

Almost trying to walk the ball into the net at times but maybe Fletcher will see some game time sooner rather than later in the second half....COYI!

Good old winnie, but what a frustrating game up to that point...sunderland are the worst team in the prem by a country mile,we should have been out of sight...but hey ho another 3 points in the bag!!COYI

Badly need a striker with movement upfront I think, we should've won at a canter today - Never mind, that's three points again and that's all that matters - You watch sour puss Moyes in his post match interview...Heh!!

We had 20 shots versus their 10, but only 3 on target compared to their 2. Will Sakho ever play for us again? Will Carroll?? Zaza must go - I would rather play Fletcher amd Callieri until we get a proper striker

Last few seconds, and a deserved win. Lucky though as it should have been considered to be offside as it went through Fletcher's legs. Will take it though as it made up for the penalties that were not awarded to West Ham in the first half. We have maintained that 15th spot. Oops, intended to hit the edit button.

Feghouli looked very dangerous on the ball when he came on. Also, despite the defensive slip up Fernandes looked like he could do a good job in midfield.

3 points, he cannot keep giving Zaha a chance, should bring him on once we are winning

We should start with one of the younger strikers. I think that Callieri can combine with Lanzini and Payet to be more effective than having Zaza in the lineup. Zaza come on as a sub, when the defenders are more tired. He really did not do much tackling like he did against Palace last weekend. We need another quality striker as Sakho and Carroll may still be weeks away, unless Carroll makes a surprise appearance against Chelsea in the Cup game.

Disappointed with Antonio, as he did not have the energy and his crosses were really poor today. Feghouli brought that trickery and his crosses did require someone like Carroll to score. Fernandes impressed, other than conceding that free kick at the top of the box resulting in a yellow. Otherwise, the starting lineup was very effective other than not having a proper striker that can hold on to the ball and also have the pace that Zaza lacked. Wish he had converted that overhead kick that caught the Sunderland keeper off guard.

Let's cut to the chase, the owners in my opinion should not have been so vocal about how much money we had to spend on a striker in the last window - Far too much messing about with Bacca (which was a right royal fk up), in the end we panic buy Ayew.
Now I'm not saying he isn't a good player, but is he the type of striker we really need? - He looks more like a number 10 or a wide player to me....Massive pity that we couldn't nail the Bacca deal as I think he might have been the sort of target man we are craving - I guess we'll never know!!

I saw a huge difference when Fegouli and Callieri came on ,for allh is faults Callieri is ten times better than Zaza and Feg is defiantly got the west ham way about him .
I agree with metbobby the crosses wernt good enough ,easy for the Sunderland centre backs

Big Mick was definitely off his game, his crossing was woeful, probably his worst match in the c& b! But he is allowed the odd off game bearing in mind the sort of shift he usually puts in.

Chelsea (H, league cup), Everton (bogey team away), Stoke (H), then Spurs and Manchester United away. Good thing we've picked up some points from the last two. The really bad thing about our season-opening form was that we had one of the lightest set of fixtures we've had to start a season in a long time. Well, no sense crying over spilt beer. Two clean sheets in a row, six points, a much needed win at home. I don't care too much about the Cup game: if we lose we lose. But Everton have been shaky of late, should have beaten Burnley and gave up a late goal -- it'd be very nice to take something away from Goodison. Stoke at home will be tough, but there are possibly three points available there. After that two very tough away fixtures, even if those teams haven't been scoring of late. If we even take five points from the next four league matches I would say that is a very clear sign of turning the corner. Trouble is, it doesn't get any easier: the beginning of December will be difficult with matches against Arsenal and Liverpool. We'll need to beat Burnley and Hull at home (doable, no?) and try and get something from Swansea and Leicester away. 23 points by the new year and we can believe in safety. Less than 20 and we have a relegation battle on our hands that will be very stressful.

pay to speculate. Nobody, not even Mystic Meg, can predict how any team will perform on a given day.

This is very true.
The way results are going this season it's impossible to predict anything - No fixture is easy.

Only thing I would say to that mate is 3 points from 2 games would be impossible if one is a draw :-)

I wouldn't be surprised if Burnley turned us over either.

I feel we are hitting form at the right time, the only downside is up front but if ayew (& its a big IF!!) can hit the ground running, with cress back we should be a match for most teams...im a lot more optimistic than a few weeks ago...
