andy carroll crocked again

Well, it had to happen didn't it? While all others were dropping like flies around him, West Ham United's most expensive signing Andy Carroll seemed to thrive and NOT get injured, as he had previously done throughout his Hammer's career. However the striker who had recently been 'bigging up' his claim for a place in the England squad whilst at the same time 'trolling' Chelsea's now ousted manager Jose Mourinho, has succumbed to a slight niggle. Strange term slight niggle, one man's niggle can seem like a total war to an observer, it will be interesting to see how slight a niggle a slight niggle really is!
Whatever the outcome, Hammers are going to be light up top for the next few crucial games during the Christmas period, Jelavic and the recently returned Enner Valencia aren't really going to strike fear in to the opposition, and that is assuming both of them can stay fit! It is a pity that Big Andy won't be able to face Swansea, because he always had quite a good game against them. (cheato flores incident aside). - Ed

Blimey the injury curse is gaining momentum, A groin strain apparently but keeps him out of the Swansea game at least. Not hoping for too much now as we are so light up front and little height. Our next three games were winnable but now we look lightweight! Sod it.

Think Carroll wouldn't strike fear into most teams ATM apart from Swansea of all teams. Why would he play this close to Xmas after all he is a footballer! I'm not to bothered because he has been close to useless anyway. It certainly hasn't surprised anyone and is not unexpected. A slight niggle? 3 months out? Our Andy doesn't do anything in halves.

Groin strain or photo shoot? Oh no how will we replace the goals he has scored? Looks like we may have to resort to a front three of zarate, Antonio and Valencia might even get a goal or two as a result. I suppose people will go back to saying after he gets back that he needs another 3 months to get match fit. Shame he isn't a horse because we would have no shortage of people wanting to "cure" him. I can no longer bear to hear his name! I'm now gona refer to him as A. N. Other. If we need a replacement how about a traffic cone? Probably has better movement

Kind of glad he is out of the team in a weird sort of way!!! He has contributed one goal as a substitute when returning from injury and feck all else in the last 2 months as we have reverted to more long balls for him to basically make a mess of! Valencia and Zarate plus Antonio on the bench shows more goals to me and I'm hoping we get back to winning ways at Swansea with at least two of them scoring :-)
