Despite protestations from Scott Duxberry, there is a growing opinion that Freddie Ljungberg has played his last game in the claret and blue of West Ham United. The Swedish International captain was stretchered off after 20 minutes against Newcastle with a suspected broken rib.

Fabio Capello has finally done what Steve Mc Claren criminally failed to do and has selected Robert Green for an England squad. Green's selection, albeit through injury to Chris Kirkland, is testimony to the West Ham stoppers continued superb form.
