West Ham line up against Charlton at the Valley for this massive match without the services of new signings Lucas Neill and Mathew Upson. Alan Curbishley has chosen to start with fans favourite Carlitos Tevez partnered by Carlton Cole up front and has given a surprise recalls to Charlton old boy Paul Konchesky in defence as well as bringing back Hayden Mullins and Mathew Etherington to the midfield, could this line up gel? It's worth a bet! - Ed Team to play Charlton: 21 Green 07 Dailly 05 Ferdinand 27 Davenport 03 Konchesky 15 Benayoun 17 Mullins 33 Quashie 11 Etherington 32 Tevez 12 Cole Substitutes 23 Walker, 26 Newton, 14 Pantsil, 10 Harewood, 37 Blanco

ok it looks like we are down so i think we should focus on coming straight up ok lots will leave but do we really mind with the sort of performances they have produced i think we need to rebuild and build a hungry young and hard working team i think the players that will leave will be marlon harewood 3m carlos tevez 8m nigel reo-coker 5m anton ferdinand 5m paul konchesky 1m kepa blanco-back to sevilla lucas neill-contract clause to let him go 1m boa morte-will try to leave but no 1 will want him 2m ashton; i think he will stay and be loyal to us as he as bin injured and will give us a season to get back in the PL he will be made captain aswell after NRC benayoun; the only other big player to stay for the season and see how we go carroll spector upson gabbidon mccartney benayoun noble quashie etherington/sinclair ashton cole/zamora (c) ins scott sinclair on loan from chelsea

Pardew's sacked after the 0-4 v bolton, suspect Egg had Curbishley lined up at that point ... subsequently Curbishley has managed over the 0-6 Reading, two losses to Watford and now 0-4 Charlton .... that surely would be his last chance, however, Eggs must think theres no point sacking him until he has a replacement ready .. priority must be to get someone in for May .. they can then rebuild for a promotion challenge .. not curbs please ... its a terrible thing to contemplate but hoddle is unemployed and would do the job for us ? right attack mentality, good tactiscion, strong on discipline ...

Curbs has to go. i dont think its his fault but i just dont like the man. You cant really moan at his selections, he has tried carlton cole tevez zammo marlon blanco all of em, and you cant really moaned at the signings, none r terrible. But 4 me he just has a complete lack of passion and ability to tell the truth, either that or he is a cun-t and believes wat he says, "we need a lift," we know why do u give it 2 us by showin sum fcukin passion. Also must b said the atmosphere today was gr8, even at 3, 4 nil we were singing non stop, we are west hams claret and blue army! and i liked the song at the end while they were clapping us, which im glad they did at least show us r support is appreicated even if they dont care about the club, we sang will u all b here next year, hope they heard that give em sumin 2 fcukin think about, cos we know half of em wont b!

Hey, look on the bright side, going down may be the best thing that could happen to us. At least then we may get a total overhaul of the club. New manager for a start, someone with a bit of flare who can motivate players and get them fired up (definatley NOT Alan frekin Curbishley). And then we could also ship all the overpaid w@nks who call themselves proffessional footballers, the likes of NRC, Harewood and Anton (to name but a few). With Eggy, we've got money so thats not an issue, and we have a quality academy so there's no doubt we will spring right back up. At least then we will be back in the premiership with a bunch of players who have a bit of passion and pride to play in a West Ham shirt. Don't understand how people can wish for Pardew back (although i do think he's better than Curbs), let's not forget who got us into this mess in the first place.

It's amazing to read what short memories some of you lot have.We lost 8 or was it 9 on the trot under PARDEW, now you fickle ******* want him back. What we saw today was PARDEW managing CURBs old team and CURBS managing PARDEWS.Give CURBS a break....he has got UPSON,NEIL,ASHTON,BOA-MORTE all out injured ,probably our best players, and who has he had to replace them with DAILLY,MULLINS,COLE and ETHERINGTON...no wonder we lost.
Submitted by Anonymous on 24 February, 2007 - 20:51.
I just wish Curbishley would show some more pride and passion, perhaps pardew was not our man but it seems that Curbs cant handle the pressure of managing West Ham as he had none on him when running Charlton.
Submitted by Anonymous on 24 February, 2007 - 20:46.
you wank ers were all saying how good mullins and etherington were last year and ashton won't even play for the club again he is off to a premiership side next season as will nrc, upson, ferdy, benjy,as for the rest all 2nd raters the club is a f u c k i n g joke

Sorry pal I mormally respect your views, but don't buy them this time. Everton, Chelsea, Fulham, Blackburn and even Newcastle under the Rodent have had horrendus injury problems but have still managed to grind out results. The difference is they have a siege mentality and tremendous team spirit. We don't have that under Curbishley do we?
Submitted by Essexhammer on 24 February, 2007 - 21:05.
Newcastle are the only team with a worse injury crises than WESTHAM. They have a much stronger squad in depth, though, thats why they are coping. As far as the other teams you mentioned their injury crisis has been bad but not lasting most of the season like ours has been and to crucial players .Your right though about the strength of character of the players ,apart from TEVEZ I have not seen one player giving 100% each match. As soon as we go one down ,heads start to drop and nervous play really takes over.NOW THAT SHOWS WEAKNESS OF CHARACTER.We need some fighters in the team like ROY KEANE,BILLY BONDS,DICKSY if we had 11 of that type of player we would get out of the mess we are in.
Submitted by Anonymous on 24 February, 2007 - 20:23.
i agree you cant blame curbs,he hasnt had long here, eggy has thrown money in and those are all crocked,as one comes back the other goes out.there hasnt been a chance to get the best players together to play as a team,he must be as frustrated as we are, because he is west ham through and through so if we feel like this so does he.he did a job at charlton thats all but still supported west ham.time is what we need but it is running out.
Submitted by Anonymous on 24 February, 2007 - 19:37.
well thats it then, another depressing saturday, there has been some bad times before now, but i think this is the worst in the clubs history. we dont score and havent won away all season.i cant see where the next goal is coming from,if at all.i think this runs deeper than any of us know about.there is something serious going on behind the scenes.i dont know wether any of you noticed but pardew went up to anton at the end of the game and and grabbed him and said something and obviously it wasnt congratulations, probably hang on and i will buy you in the summer.

Why isn't WESTHAM fighting? And why is that muppet Curbs clapping hands to Charlton fans? Where are we? What is happening? Should this bloke keep WESTHAM in premierleague and give WESTHAM that crap crappy clints famous "three pointer" and fighting spirit? Curbs is a clint clints flipping disgrace! Even my clint clints flipping granny plays better than Dailly, he is utter crap, we just wonder how can someone sensible play Dailly in starting 11? Should we laugh or cry when we see that Mickey Mouse Dailly seeking opponents from the clint clints flipping bloody wrong side of the field? How can someone pay money to see that toser humiliate himself, come on, it must be illegal to play Dailly! Today there was only one showing true Claret and Blue: TEVEZ! Great fight! Perhaps Davenport also?

Just got back from The Valley of Death, kicked the dog and punched my study door and as I'm typing I've got claret running all over my keyboard. At least I give blood for West Ham which is more than our players do for Curbishley. That in a nutshell is the problem. He has to go!!

WE JUST DIDN'T KNOW HOW LUCKY WE WERE To all the guys who over the last 2 years have given Pardew such a hard time, maybe you can now see the quality of the guy ... we would not be in this position had Pardew stayed ... We were so so lucky to have such a guy ... even when we were winning, guys in and around where I sit constantly moaned at him ... We swapped him for one of the best english managers and now look how good pards is ... or was ... Just pride left now but we must beat S***s ... just for the fans ... we then have to beat blackburn, sheff utd, arsenal & Man u all away (who funnily enough are the 4 teams we have already beaten this year)
Submitted by Anonymous on 24 February, 2007 - 18:48.
Pardew is using Curbishleys players... Curbishley is using Pardews players... nothing would have changed.
Submitted by Anonymous on 24 February, 2007 - 20:24.
Your argument don't stack up. Pards beat Charlton as West Ham manager and beat West Ham as Charlton manager. Curbishley teams were the losers so he is the problem.

A.C just leave ... tonight... we can take the upheaval we have had enough of upheavel this season and you have offer nothing to change it so go.. takes the other wasters Day and Peacock with you. A.P was just as bad so lets not wish he was here the only decent bloke is Eggs who put his money on the table and was ROBBED! A.P. Take a look at who you signed Spector, Pants, Cole,Bowyer. A.C. with unlimited funds Morte, quasie. Mash had 90 mins and did realy at Liverpool today Typical!well neither of you used him and Tevez has not had a real chance so your both as bad as one another . It hurts saying this because A.P. and A.C are decent men?

nothing left to loose it seems... we are a team with NOTHING to loose apart from quality players our pride was taken a long time ago at reading, our goal diference? gone today... worst in league... our goals... we haven't even scored any... our money? well we've got plenty of that but how much longer will eggy put up with this before he sacks himself?... that's it... the players all want to be somewhere else, anton says every time he walks out on the pitch he has his pride??? but what about his shame? there are no more hammers the iron's gone, only a cold icelandic man ready for death with a hope that he could do something good for something he loved before he retired, in our signings came hope but only players who were in it for themselves and their own personal gain came to us... being a west ham fan is the hardest thing to be in the country right now, but still we have our faith... or will that be taken as well? - Morgan

just watched pardew's interview on sky,he seemed slightly unhappy he just saw us get hammered.he seems he really does love our club and would jump at a chance to come back.Even mixed matty etherington up with matty holland in his interview.im looking 4ward 2 watching what curbs has got 2 say.i only hope he doesnt say "we need to get a 3 pointer on the board" and says 2 little words "I RESIGN"
Submitted by Anonymous on 24 February, 2007 - 18:40.
the good thing is pards could come back in the distant future. magnerson will realise what he has done when he keeps charlton up who were sh*ter than west ham by the way. maybe all our baby bentley culture will go and he'll come back with a decent team. our academy WILL get us out of the championship eventually - freddie sears, james tompkins, kyel reid, tom harvey and mark noble are all players west ham can still enjoy. i dont care about the buys pardew made - that's history, if he keeps charlton just look what he will have achieved as a manager.
Submitted by Anonymous on 24 February, 2007 - 17:43.
hey... do you reckon any of the players are crying? do you think any of them players are worried for their future? anton ferdinand? yossi Benayoun? tevez? ashton? are they worried about the championship... no... they're not worried in the slightest... they play their hearts out for west ham week in week out... they'll get transfered if we go down cause they're our quality players that deserve the premiership... then you get the likes of mullins, dailly and etherington come along without a clue of how to play football and conceed goals... one weak link can loose a game... more than one can destroy a club
Submitted by Anonymous on 24 February, 2007 - 17:43.

Lets try and get something positive out of the season. Recall Reid and ephraim. Lets see them two with noble and i thinks its tomkins get some experience. I was expecting them to play a bit this season after hearing good things about them during pre season

They had no chance of playing.. Look how Ward, Cohen, and Bywater were treated last season. Tomkins is another Ferdinand, flatters to deceive. His england performance against France show s no promise.

I think Curbs player selection sux... we were told we'd have collins a bowyer back today... Why was cole starting... and mullins captain?!!? I don't think charlton have got it in them to climb out of the bottom 3 and neither do west ham... I'm a hammer through and through for life... but I turned off the radio at half three when we were two down already resigned to the fact we would loose by 4 or 5 goals, and we did... dailly is a mistake... our midfield was a joke and so is carlton cole. To be honest... I'm talking seriously here... I would not be at all surprised if we don't get another 5 or 6 points for the rest of the season. and can anyone here say that they expect west ham united to win another game this season? - Morgan
Submitted by Anonymous on 24 February, 2007 - 17:35.
Curbs needs to do the right thing here and walk away. He obviously doesn't have the players with him. Sh*t. Absolute sh*t.
