Not Another Spud For West Ham SurelySubmitted by Neville Nixon on 25 January, 2007 - 09:45.
Wayne Routledge is yet another Tottenham player who might cross town to join up with Alan Curbishley's relegation battlers at West Ham. The right sided midfielder has been on loan at Fulham all season but the deal expires at the end of this transfer window, and while Chris Coleman would like the player to stay, it is unlikely that his club will be so accommodating as to extend the loan further.
With any deal for Shaun Wright-Phillips apparently dead in the water, a move for Routledge represents a far cheaper option and might prove to be more beneficial for the club in it's current predicament, the only fear is that at just 5'8" he might just be too light weight for the rigours of the Prem, but then again he did take Hammers apart during the game against Fulham. Generally the squad at West Ham should be strong enough, given the recent arrivals, to push up the Premiership League table and even challenge for a top six place next season, this weekend's home FA Cup tie against Watford could be seen as a diversion to the real job in hand however, it will give Curbishley the chance to be a little more extravagant in his team selection ahead of the match that really matters, the home Premier fixture against Liverpool on Tuesday evening. Lucas Neill may well have a point to prove. - Ed

From a Portugeuse website which I had to sadly rely on Google to translate (rolling is Rolando):
Soccer
Rolling interest of the West Ham is unaware of
The defense of the Belenenses affirmed today that it is not to the chain of the alleged interest of the English of the West Ham in its services. Still thus, Rolling he was satisfied for seeing its recognized value in the foreigner.
ASF
“I do not know you are welcome. But I read this in periodicals. I continue to work here, therefore to have some thing it will have that to happen first with the club and alone later with me. But, before this notice, it is impossible to be indifferent and it is clearly that to move for better it is always goodâ€, affirmed Rolling.
thats the trouble, the banter is dying at football, when i first got my season ticket everygame was such a laugh whether we lost or won, we ad some proper ard fans around us wiv a great sense of humour, n now theyve al left n we have a couple of sensible jims that sit there wiv there sarnies and occassionally call out 'come on chaps'
So this Rolando, who is he ? ive never heard of him. or Knol, Have other clubs been in for them ??? as for the S***s fans, its easy to rise to their bait, but can i ask all on the site to ignore them?? Their birds probably look like Jade GOODY and thats where they get their mentality.
OK ... back to football ... Belenenses defender Rolando is close to a move to Upton Park
The 21-year-old centre-half was born in the Cape Verde Islands but is now a Portugal under-21 international.
West Ham boss Alan Curbishley is also keen on AZ Alkmaar defender Ruud Knol.
We should also try and sign jason Culina from PSV as Rangers want him for circa 1m. This guy is a gun, he scores, he tracks back, he gets stuck in, great passer of the ball, can play anywhere in the midfield, he is a mate of Lucas Neils and had a great world cup for the Socceroos.
Neville enough is enough I love other fans coming on here and having a laugh like that gooner gay lord last year but some of these people spuds or not are just boring and annoying cant you block them ???? and I agree with a previous post can some people just shut up with this Jew Jew shite its embarrassing everyone and making us all look like thick racist retards, its 2007 not the late 70's for fvcks sake
Nev,
As a Hammers fan for over 40 years, I love visiting this Site to find the latest news and debate, but I am sickened and ashamed by some of the racist comments and pure hatred spewed by some of the people here.
Sure I know the history and the banter between Clubs but please lets have real fans stand up to the morons who spoil this Site and other West Ham sites for everyone! I am ashamed to read some of the stuff which appears, whatever happened to "Kick racism out of football?" How many fathers want to take their sons to games when they read and hear this? We are already being priced out of the Grounds and seeing empty seats at Premiership games, surely we need to attract families back, not drive them away by printing racist and abusive rubbish!
Lets get back to talking about what really matters - Our Club staying up and getting behind the Irons!
Its not just fathers that want to take their sons to game, what about their daughters. Iam a west ham fan but it was my uncle who took me and my sisters to matches. I could only go to the games when we played Newcastle,Sunderland or Boro as we live in Newcastle.Thats not being racist but its being sexist.
Geordie Hammer,
The point I am making is that no-one wants to read comments like "jew-jew" and read sick racial and abusive comments no matter who they come from. As the previous poster said this is 2007 not the 1970's and I would love to see ALL members of families at the games but how many people want to pay good money and take their sons, daughters or wives and then have to read and listen to this sort of racist abusive rubbish?
Nothing can justify these types of comments which sicken and disgust most people no matter who they support.
its wear they edit the swearing mate klint means cun+
what does crap crappy klint mean ? .shay.o COME ON U IRONZ!!!
i notice how u armchair fans dnt leave the name of ur club as we probly kno more bout ur club than u do. ur jus sad lil pc perverts hu get no action and sit there wanking n poncing all day
Well said, the only place they feel secure enough to say the things that they have been saying is from in front of their computer screens.
going down, going down, going down!
you so called supporters who like poncing of thewest ham site to cuss the S***s have no respect the site aint for cussing its for debating and discussns and S***s lovers lve us alone go to your site plz whats fun about bein jealous to over clubs some people need to get a life.shay.o COME ON U IRONZ!!!
I see that we are definately moving out of Upton Park, well thats what Sir Egg says, i for one am for the Idea but it will be a tearful goodbye to a stadium that holds so many memories. Given that moving to a new stadium will improve our bid to piss off the 'Big Four' and assert ourselves at the top end of the Prem ahead of past present and futureless Spunks and bringing frowns to those geeky arse fans. The last game at the Boleyn will be a very moving affair and it might even bring a tear to my eye It'l be a sell out crowd with a top performance from the players and a terrific atmosphere, lets just hope it's not against doubty wigan like the arse had last year but they probably won't be here so i hope it's against the jews who will turn green not with food poisoning but with envy. Up The Irons!
this arguing is getting boring now you S***s please leave us alone and you hammers just stop replying to imaature messages i jst want o talk about real football matters not this dissin nd cussin nonsense.shay.o COME ON U IRONZ!!!
Well said mate, And to all hammers-- Between now and the end of the season stop and just have a think before we start to turn against our team and boss. We need to keep the relationship strong between the fans, the team and the manager, because it is major key to us staying in this sodding league i.e. pompey last year & at the end of a month where plenty of weird crap crappy klint has happened, the sooner we finally forget this transfer window and all concentrate on being positive enough to catch up with dithering Wigan and the rest the better! We have a good enough squad to stay up now. Davenport and Niell will be excellent signings, so to Boa Morte and Quashie. They’re all good experienced players. Know about as much as anybody else about Blanco. Seen footage of goals but that’s it. Hope the lads good and hit’s the ground running. Yeah I would have liked a few more but we should have more than enough now. And I still believe there will be at least one more good signing. Any sensible guesses? COME ON U IRONZ!!!!!!!!
You S***s fans haven't got a very good memory have you, remember last year when you lost to grimsby and leicester, so eff eff* off back to you sh*te forum!
nev are neill and blanko in the squad for tomorrows win?
hope u're right about Niell playing tomorrow cos we are short at the back but saw article in the paper saying he was making his debutb against the los scousers on tuesday.
What a dick, saying that Upton Park is a Sh*t Hole, yes maybe its not the best stadium in England, but it sure is alot F*UCKING better than White Hart Lane, thats what you call a joke! It even still has the pillars holding the roof up! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! I bet the people that have an obstructed view are pleased that they don't have to watch the game! White Hart Lane may hold more than Upton Park but at least we have the money to move stadia, unlike the spuds who are in so much debt they have to sell there best players, and also that they want money from their bye into the next round of the UEFA cup, because your skint! FAGGOTS!
Did'nt you Spammers get beaten in the first round by some team wearing 'PINK', and also by Chesterfeild in the league cup. You have'nt got a clue between the lot of you. S***s have always been bigger then Wet Spam and always will be.
The team wearing pink were palermo and the fact that they play in pink is irrelavent, something that you should bear in mind, though, is the fact they are 3rd in Serie A. And they beat us because as is the case for many italien teams they knew how to beat a typical attacking and exiting english team over two legs. Italien fans don't demand the kind of rich flowing football that english fans do and so palermo strangled the tie by locking us out. Our team is inexperienced, we didn't know how to get around such an organised and well-drilled defence but I'll tell you this much, had S***s been drawn against palermo and not some obscure eastern european team then they would have been knocked out of the competition in the 1st round too. Let let me also tell you this, if S***s find themselves in a tie against parma in the next round they will lose.
i used to like white hert lane there was nothing beter in life than goin there and running the shelf diferance was they tried but never run our north bank
I wrote this comment, just wasnt signed in! Oh and watch this video! Its great
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5vLC9VuL58
i love it! take that you bunch of inbred pricks. the so called food poisoning was so bad that the fa didnt even call the match off. sounds like they were out classed to me.
And why not, it's not Tottenham's fault that the other team can't play. I hear you some of you idiots bought season passes with Flybe as you all thought you would going far in the UEFA cup?
You back again Tottscum C U N T! You spend so much time on this site do yourself a favour just subscribe and be done with it, if not piss off back to your own sh i t c u n t Site.
Listen you muppet spud! Why dont ya piss off back to ya own.You must be crap crappy klint bored with your own forum. Then again i aint suprised, it would do my head in to av to talk about the game we love with a bunch of retards.
I think Neville is out of the country.
This sad boring foreskinless pathetic pathetics who comes on here (even creating his own pathetic username) must have such a sad lonely existence. He's only jealous of the fact that we're the best supporters in London by a country mile and that we've now got the finance to overtake them cnuts in the not-so-distant future.
And what's his obsession with cocks? Jealous that we've got a few 'extra inches' cos we have our foreskins still intact.
we will need a bigger stadium in the next couple of years ... back in may only 30,000 fans got to wave goodbye to the stupid spuds dreams of Champions league ... in years to come 60,000 fans will be able to wave good bye to them after turning them over on the pitch
