Young And Parker Now Linked With West Ham

Submitted by Neville Nixon on 29 May, 2007 - 14:52.
Newcastle's Scott Parker and Charlton's Luke Young have been linked to a Boleyn move during the summer transfer window, having both been under the tutelage of Alan Cubishley at the Valley, Young and Parker would welcome the chance to link up with their mentor who is now manager of West Ham. With Nigel Reo-Coker on his way out, Scott Parker would seem an ideal replacement, and Luke Young has long expressed a desire to move across London from the Addicks to the Hammers, he was almost a wearer of the claret and blue until his move was scuppered by a medical that showed a long term knee injury, however it now transpires that 'Tuberculosis' Brown bulked at the price quoted and engineered the results of the medical to cast a less than favorable light on the England International. A certain section of the media and maybe a few fans might accuse Curbs of a bit of nepotism, but these are players he knows and trusts, and after all in football, if you can't trust your players who can you trust?- Ed.. .. This info is courtesy of Football Player's Agents, who probabley rank just one off the sewer level that Estate Agents and Bailifs operate in.

I accept that the majority of the players linked with the exit door at West Ham are on their way and i believe the money should be additional to what the egg man is giving curbs. Therefore and starting at the back and not in order of priority i believe we need a young back up keeper for green(not sure about walker as no.2) we definately need a lb and shorey for me is a better bet than carlos in both long term and in his determination to prove himself in the game with george as back up. We have a number of quality ch but need upson to remain fit and gabbidon to regain form of last year. Dont see point in young unless we considering playing lucas at ch and spector gives us reasonable cover. For midfield would like to see nrc replaced by parker, sissoka or outside bet of grella from parma. Think we need to be realistic and accept unless we go abroad and find the new wonderkid the really big names aint comin until we where we belong in the top 6 and challenging. Would like to see cahill as attacking midfielder and noble given a real good run. top priority is a break the bank deal for tevez with ashton, z-man and the young kid as back up. if we need cover for ashton would be happy with viduka but how about a cheeky bid for toni big old fashioned cf who i think could cut it in prem. would also like to see some attacking wide players as not sure on boa morte yet so how about swp, boy from baggies and kightly at wolves is one of the best young pprospects in country. team would be green, neill, gabbidon, upson, shorey, yossi, noble, parker, swp, tevez/cahill, ashton/toni/viduka. Any thoughts?

As a Newcastle season ticket holder that must have been the only two good games he has had. When Parker starts we have won less than 10% of our games, without him it is just over 60%. Need I say more. He is ridiculed by the local press for his lack of effort this season. Please buy him for 8.5 million today, a paupers David Batty.

just got this off of the official carlos tevez website the one which first revealed the news that he had signed for us well it is looking worse now as it seems like he is off to chelski i had to translate this on google so its a bit wierd but plz read. To make be worth the words with facts is a little frequent exercise. And if Carlitos Tevez has been proclaimed like a type that maintains its humility beyond everything what it has been called on to him to live and to win (in soccer glory and ticket), the one of yesterday was a good test for its sayings. It is that while in England the press informed into a concrete offer of the Chelsea by the Argentinean, nothing less than of almost 70 green woods, the hero of the salvation of the West Ham trained with pibes of Sub 20. Of the saying to the fact, a stretch until the estate of AFA in Ezeiza… With the seven goals that marked in last the ten dates, registry decorated by festejo nothing less than in Old Trafford before the Manchester champion, greatest of Europe was interested in Carlitos. It was spoken of the Liverpool, the own United, the Arsenal… Of the Inter, Real Madrid… And it seems to be that, as a verification of the augury that many established when the Iranian Kia Joorabchian was crossed in its race, the final destiny will be the Chelsea. In its edition of yesterday, the Daily Express spoke of preliminary contacts between the directive blues and the people of the player, a supply of 69.500.000 of dollars (35 million pounds) and of a meeting between Kia and the owner of the West Ham, Eggert Magnusson, the next week, to define the exit of the player. In as much, Tevez had in the morning his yesterday second day of practice in the estate. Eduardo Kirluk started with laburo physical with the Profe and later he participated in the 40 minutes of practice that Sub 20 made to the orders of Tocalli. Today it will return to train and Saturday it will travel to Europe to add itself to the concentration in Basel.

The key phrase in that translation is: "In its edition of yesterday, the Daily Express spoke of preliminary contacts between..." So do you trust the Daily Express?

I think its pretty clear that Tevez is on his way. Either Chelsea (all those who were saying he is too loyal to us to move to another prem side...pah!) or Madrid. I guess his idea of loyalty is somewhat different to what we all thought. Chelsea werent interested in him when we signed him..so we take a chance...go through difficult times at the club to get him settled..face a barrage of nonsense from Sheff U etc over his signing and all the time he was saying how he loved the club etc...yeah sure. Now chelsea come sniffing and he is practically out the door. Nice kick in the teeth that would be.

beckham would be a classy signing , we need a stronger midfielders to contend with the ones we got maybe kia joroororochocobobjvojchain can give us a couple more argentinan players , help tevez feel ecen more at home , infact more argantinans less chance of us doing a charlton
Submitted by Anonymous on 30 May, 2007 - 09:30.
LA galaxy owner said beckham will be able to be loaned back next season i think this is a perfect chance to get him on loan for however long it is we was linked with him wen eggy took over but now we will have better players higher in the league what do you all think tevez beckham ashton benayoun not a bad four is it

they have just paid all that cash for him so that he raises the profile of soccer in the usa and you think they are going to loan him out?!?!! get a grip mate.
Submitted by Anonymous on 30 May, 2007 - 10:54.
The MLS runs from February through to October, so he would be able to go on loan during the Off-season
Submitted by Anonymous on 30 May, 2007 - 11:08.
Yeah like they'd loan him out and risk him breaking his leg and be out for a year? Dont think they would be that stoopid.
Submitted by Anonymous on 30 May, 2007 - 10:30.
look on skysports then you clint clints flipping the bloke is right he is being loaned out when there season finishes
Submitted by Anonymous on 30 May, 2007 - 11:30.

Young and Parker? they are both good players. Both English and have been on the fringes of the england squad. Young would be o.k at right back, moving Neil into the centre or left back. Parker would be the ideal player to replace NRC. Great tackler, good passer and eye for goal. I think he would be perfect. Wasnt that long ago Chelsea paid 10 million for him. So if we get these two in, I think that would be great. Keeping with our policy of signing good home grown players (English) and building a core of a team around them is fine.
Submitted by coetevez32 on 30 May, 2007 - 13:57.
i dnt see why we need young if we have super lucas neill
Submitted by Anonymous on 30 May, 2007 - 08:22.
i heard that we were offering nrc and konchesky to newcastle in return for parker. i can believe this because newcastle are set to lose quite a few players, including parker, and both our players would add to their squad. Dont think we really need young, we have possibly the best right back in the premiership with niell and he isnt about to leave with the position of club captsin heading his way. Bowyer will also be leaving this summer, most probably to norwich because of our 'connection' but if not to join newton at leicester.

Scott Parker and Luke Young aren't good enough for us? Take a look at our squad boys and girls, then tell us that they arent good enough. key word there - SQUAD. Even if they aren't "world class", they would still be fantastic additions to any squad. If Neill gets injured next season, I'm much more comfortable with the thought of Luke Young stepping into that position than Spector, Dailly or Paintsil.
Submitted by Hayden on 30 May, 2007 - 08:19.
Hey.. Spector sacrificed his balls for West Ham against Man Utd on the last day of the season. That's commitment haha.
Submitted by middleeasternhammer on 30 May, 2007 - 09:43.
I like Spector. He's not as good as Neil, but I still think he's an awesome player!!! We can't sell him. He's been great to us!

Yes.. yes he is
Submitted by Anonymous on 30 May, 2007 - 11:07.
no he is a premiership player. Not as good as niell but he is great cover, can play anywhere across the back 4 and is commited. He should definatley stay
Submitted by Deanos Bald Patch on 30 May, 2007 - 14:45.
Yep I like him too. He's a fairly dirty player but he seems to get away with it by being young and American and not seeming the type. He's always going to be back-up/subs bench but he can hold his own when he has to.

You are all forgetting our history , we have been yoyoing between the fizzy n prem 4 years, AC's first priority will be to keep us comfortably in the prem (which he achieved at Charlton with no money). Thats what generates the income to build a squad that can really challenge. Eggy's got cash but he won't want to paper the walls of the new stadium with it. Expect a focus on making the defence watertight and reliable. The midfield needs to be unshakeable. Tevez's goals were great but without the Zmans goals we would be down now. Get the basics right at the back and put the a flair head on the team , Tevez would be great , but there are others out there who can do the job. Brown is out , no more false dawns , next season looks good already. Parker , Young and Viduka in. NRC et al out & 2 or 3 signings we know nowt about.
Submitted by Anonymous on 30 May, 2007 - 17:24.
Ok we have been an up and down club over my lifetime but apart from 2 season in the fizzy we havent been an up and down club between the Prem and Fiz leagues! check ur facts

But we're not Charlton. Our aim is not to just stay up every year. We should be challenging for trophies. This club has distinctly underachieved since clinching the ECWC in '65, with the exception of one or two FA Cups to boot. We have so much potential. We should be aiming for the very top in a graudaul process over the next few years.

yer well at least we are not rumoured with people like nicky butt etc... if we still had terrence dickhead brown still as chairman. So brighten up and look forward for hopefully good things for west ham in the future

Another beautifully written story Nev!If only there were more sports journalists out there like you.Sooner we get the game out of the hands of sewer dwellers & back in the hands of supporters the better.Whoever we sign I'm sure Curbs & Merv will bring success sooner rather than later. The way they kept us up last season was nothing short of genius. They could probably get the Broadmoor team in the Premiership or maybe they already kept them up!Strong as Iron! HAMMERSMART.

I wish people would stop going on about world class players!! We at West ham have only had 3 in the last 10 years!! The fact is that next season despite all the money in the world we won't be challenging the top 4 and we wont attract world class players (never have and it will take some time before we do!)!! So forget that!! What we need to do is be challenging the bracket below that ie S***s/Bolton/Everton/Portsmouth!! Now theres no reason that throught signing players like parker/bent/young and even koumas (who is the best player hands down outside of the prem) we couldnt do that!! Its not about BIG names like Saviola/Toni who come here and are sh*te for a season(aka Shevshenko) its about assembling a squad capable of challengin top 7!! Take Pompey for example they didnt sign huge names, they went bought sensible and soon will be attracting bigger names!!! Also with so many players leaving us I'd be quite happy to have Koumas on the bench instead of Bowyer/Mullins/Newton hence progress!! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ moron , so right lets get this right last 10 years hmmm ian wright played for us di canio john hartson "THE BISH" trevor sinclair i could be naming world class player all day from west hams past !
Submitted by Anonymous on 30 May, 2007 - 08:43.
moron trev sinclair? Hartson? World Class!! Yes they were among the very best in their day, could have played for MAdrid, AC Milan!! And Wright was world class but well past it when he came to us!! Di Canio, well down you got one right!!! I'l make it four when koumas signs according to your criteria for a world class player!! IDIOT!!
