Is This Curbishleys Vision For West Ham

Submitted by Neville Nixon on 6 January, 2007 - 14:41.
Alan Cubishley has selected a team with five changes from the one that was humiliated by Reading last week. The most notable absentees are Nigel Reo-Coker, Marlon Harewood Mathew Etherington and Paul Konchesky, none of whom even make the bench. Starting Mark Noble will bring a cheer to many fans as will the inclusion of Carlos Tevez in the starting line up, as expected Luis Boa Morte makes his debut alongside Yossi Benayoun and Hayden Mullins and Noble in midfield. George McCartney replaces Konchesky at left back and Christain Dailly is preferred to Spector at right back. Curbs also gives a rare start to Carlton Cole who must have thought that his days at the club were numbered until very recently. The exclusion of the Bentley Boys will surely add to the speculation that one or all of them will be on their way during the transfer window and is a sign that Curbishley is about to stamp his impression on the squad in no uncertain times. These changes are what most fans have been calling out for, it is hoped that they will be productive and the new line up will help shake the club out of the poor run currently being experienced. - Ed Hammers starting line up: 01 Carroll 07 Dailly 05 Ferdinand 04 Gabbidon 06 McCartney 15 Benayoun 17 Mullins 24 Noble 13 Boa Morte 12 Cole 32 Tevez Substitutes 21 Green, 08 Sheringham, 18 Spector, 25 Zamora, 26 Newton

please dont forget marlon scored about 16 goals fro us last season. without him we may not be in the premiership this year. peter crouch? peter bloody crouch? peter bloody crouch. you must be joking. peter crouch accumulates to playing roy carrol in goal so that he can punt the ball at him all day long. proper west ham football that is we dont need to get rid of nrc konch matty or marlon, we just need to change their mindset back to something resembling last year. not many people had a problem with them then. dnt get me wrong, they hav severly underperformed this year and its frustrating to watch. but two seasons ago daily was our hate icon. now people want him in the starting lineup. stick a rocket up em and we've got a v good bright young team. drop em until they are prepared to work for their places. mark noble and tevez have the passion they should all aspire too have.

Its the best site on the internet trust me you will look nowhere else as it searchs all the sites and updates constantly, from this site, tribal football, eatsleepfootball, skysports.. i could go on and on. Enjoy.. PS. Well done today the Hammers, against a lower division team but a good confidence boost ahead of a massive game next saturday.

Not fussed if Reo Coker, Harewood and Etherington leave but I've always liked Konch, bit of a poor mans Julian Dicks but he loves West Ham! DDN

I like Etherington and Konch the other two NRC (waster) and Harewood (if i have to think about it its going into row Z) they MUST go THIS month, use them as make weights in some really decent deal for a STAR. That is of course Curbs manages to convince someone who deserves to be in the premier league that WHU can still make it. One thing Hammers fans have is belief....... i just hope others can see that !!

Does it really matter if SWP, Viduka and others are cup-tied. I would much prefer to have them in our team fighting to save us stay in the premiership than worry about any cup run. Glad to see all those wasters are not cup-tied. Hope they all leave SOON - Well done AC

talksports reports are saying we are poor yet again and got booded off at half time !! they say brighton are the better team and the statistics have to agree only one shot on target against a team 2 divisions lower yet again all this is piss poor !!!!!!

Halftime,0-0.We can't even score against a League One side at home.Hopefully we'll mullah 'em in the 2nd half.

Wright Phillips won't be coming - he's playing for Chelsea today.
Submitted by Anonymous on 6 January, 2007 - 15:31.
what ever happens Curbs has done the things most fans have asked, even if it doesnt work out we can see this is the man that will ring the changes if required and we must get behind him, the one thing we dont need at WHU is player power ! that will be the kiss of death to our beloved club and we will go the leeds route.
Submitted by Anonymous on 6 January, 2007 - 15:30.
good point with COKA out whi has been made Captain??? Good to see Noble get a chance and as Tony C is reporting the team looks better balanced with more fight and passion. A Couple of goals would be great for confidence for the whole team. Would love to see Tevez get his first.
Submitted by Anonymous on 6 January, 2007 - 15:28.
Superb. Bye bye reo coker, no doubt your agent will come out and claim you have been unfairly treated just because you have been dropped. Might even claim you have recieved hate mail again.... Hope this spells the end for the self styled gangster wannabes at west ham... Great to see Noble back in the team, could do with more like him ! Up the hammers ! !
Submitted by Anonymous on 6 January, 2007 - 15:25.
Well done AC - belief in you BTW - who is Captain ? thanks
Submitted by hammerhead on 6 January, 2007 - 15:18.
About bloody time too!Of course,it could all backfire on Curbishley if we lose.I hope Noble,Cole and Tevez can take this chance to grab regular starts.Let's hope too that we've finally seen the end of the gangsta boys.
