Lets have a look at some of the players rumoured to be leaving there clubs this year and see if they could be additions to the West Ham United squad. GOALKEEPER: JUSSI JAASKELAINEN RIGHT-BACK: PASCAL CHIMBONDA CENTRE-HALF: RICHARD DUNNE CENTRE-HALF: TAL BEN HAIM LEFT-BACK: JOHN-ARNE RIISE RIGHT MIDFIELD: DAVID BENTLEY CENTRAL MIDFIELD: GARETH BARRY CENTRAL MIDFIELD: STEVE SIDWELL LEFT MIDFIELD: NIKO KRANJCAR STRIKER: PETER CROUCH I personally feel that Peter Crouch, Steve Sidwell and Tal Ben Haim would be welcome additions to Upton Park purely for the fact that Mullins should depart, leaving either Parker and Noble to play there or Sidwell as Noble cant play the majority of the games and to me, he is a Curbs type player who might have something to prove. Crouch interests me, give you something different, could be a replacement for Deano if he leaves, please dont Deano! Tal Ben Haim, not the greatest defender and has been found out on occassions at the highest level but would still slot in comfotably anywhere along our back line. All the others seem to require big spending on them, Barry, Kranjcar and Bentley etc and i cant see us splashing out 15mil per player. This is why we cant go for the superstars straight away, this is very much a get some "quality" players in but not superstars time for us and hopefully rise in the league then start spening once we go the extra cash from maybe a good european run.

I'd go for Riise, a quality left-sided player with thunderbolt shot. Crouch could bde a goer but not at 15million 'Laffa Beneetez maaayte' wants. Chimbonda is a dick but a better right back than Lardy Lucas. I don't fancy Jussi, Sidwell or Ben Haim. The rest are out of our league I'm afraid.

Yeah I'd take Crouch, but I reckon he'd go for £10m+... Wouldn't mind Bentley, but would you drop Faubert to right back? I heard that Penant might be leaving too, might be a slightly cheaper option than Bentley.

Dont think Pennant is a Curbs type of player. To often in the rpess for the wrong reasons and if Curbs was to skip past this option then i would have to agree with him on this.
