Faubert as Right Back

With Dyer coming back (hopefully), what do you think of Faubert playing "Right Back"? He'd obvisouly be more of a wing back, but could overlap Dyer nicely, provide great service, and has the pace to burn up and down the wing. He's also a strong lad, and could be a useful tackler, and good in the air. Seems like a perfect player to steal Lucas Neils position. Your thoughts?

Right back where? Behind the goal somewhere? I'd rather get him fit and try him where he is supposed to be first and give him a go before trying him in the back four. The Prem is hard enough to get used to as it is, never mind trying it out of position.

I like the idea of playing wing back's and Faubert would do that job perfectly ,in fact didn't he play there for France?.At home in particular 352 would be a good system to play, that means of course that Noble would have more space and time in midfield to do what he does best,or even Dyer playing behind the front two.CJ

actually this is quite an interesting post, contrary too thoughts below !!! the main problem here is, whilst its a good thought, we have mr defensive curbs in charge and would never be that offensive. but would be a good idea as it would either drop neil or put him inside where i prefer him (although i am not mrs lucan neill !!!), i think next year our midfield will be made up of Faubert right side, Parker and Dyer in middle, and someone on the left, maybe a new cheeky italian wonder kid !!!

If Neill wasn't Captain, and Faubert wasn't medical room-prone he'd RB already imo. could also let Dyer cut inside a bit.

You people and your Football Manager comments. Shut up with this bullshite. I don't play feckin video games, I play football, and I watch it...a lot. Giga, maybe you should take the time to comment on my point with an intellectual comment as to why Faubert WOULDN'T make a good right back, and how we should share the duties of Dyer and Faubert at the same position if West Ham decides not to re-train Faubert at a new position. How will the club accept two 6MM pound players at the same position, one not playing? Can you comment on these points? You don't have to agree with me, that's not my problem, but show me some respect, provide a decent argument to the contrary, just don't accuse me of being some geek, all pent-up at home playing video games, or are you? West Ham Till I Die!!!

One not playing would be a huge step forward given neither have been playing for 95% of this season. Faubert right back? Possibly yes, right back to France!

Im not saying that he couldnt. But im of the belief of pacey, overlapping wingbacks and large unmoving center backs. And im pretty sure that any winger could play the type of wingback which i just described.. Secondly thats the first thing i think ive ever said about football manager on this game. Uhm, thirdly, many people get slated on this site, dont have a go at me because your one of many. Fourthly, i think its the vlubs fault for buying big in these areas. Fifthly Dyer prefers to play in the center.

Now you're talking Giga. All I'm looking for is a little substance, and some intelligent batter about the team and game we love. Thanks. Allthough I may not agree, cheers. West Ham Till I Die!!!
