Say NO NO NO to DioufSubmitted by mfraser666 on 20 May, 2008 - 10:14.
I am disgusted to see the Guardian linking us to this, complete disgrace to football, Curbishley is clown enough to see him as a good signing for our club and im sorry if we sign him , im going to cancel my season ticket renewal , i can't stand him ( mind u i can't stand curbs either) but to be honest this would be one step too far for curbs and his caravan .... Oh f8ck it, why not? We have
Oh f8ck it, why not? We have Bellyache, Ferdinand, Bowyer and Dyer already. Let's sign Diouf and Joey Barton whilst we are about it (Turds tried to last summer remember!). It's a shame Saddam is dead, he could have been brought in as General Manager!

Hey come january George Bush is out of a job..He could be our new general manager..why not he took a financial stable country and made of mess of everything, same old same old at west ham... then perhaps West Ham will attack Iran
LOL Perhaps we could drop LBM and Cole as cluster bombs - mind you, they would only miss the target!
in my eyes hes jsut the same as LBM but ruder and really does not give a crap crappy klint.
Nani should be able to find some new fresh unknown talent instead of.... Diouf... i didnt even wanna type his name... why go for Diouf if we are trying to go forward, he must be kinda old by now aswell.
I bet if we bought him we would be ripped off aswell. Cmon on curbs find some better talent.
Just playing devil's advocate here... Why 'no' to Diouf? I think he's a very skillful player, effective going forward, does his fair share of tracking back, gets in opposition faces and has a huge amount of experience internationally as well as Europe and the Prem. Would we have a prob with Rijkaard if he became our next manager? He did the whole spit thing in a minor tournament, oh yes, The World Cup! How about Bilic... The call for him to manage us was almost deafening, but he is a World Cup cheat and a merecenary to boot. Why are we drawing the line at Diouf?
I'd say no to Rijkaard! When he spat at the permed topped German (who was it? - Voller?) I actually found myself cheering on the Germans, I was so disgusted! Spitting is revolting and I cannot look at either Rijkaard or Diouf without a sense of total and utter revulsion. Bilic is another matter. Yes he cheated but Shearer "manufactured" free kicks every time he played for England and Owen has been tripped by thin air in the penalty box twice in my memory. Look at Lucas Neill to bring it closer to home. He wrestles opponents at every corner and free kick then acts as if he has been shot by a canon when Nani places his forehead against him.
So on the morality scale you'll accept 'cheaters' but not 'spitters'? For me, both are just as bad. Call me old fashioned, but I believe in sportsmanship not gamesmanship.
Gamesmanship is part of the game. You telling me you don't yell for a penalty for West Ham when you know it isn't really one? You telling me that, in a penalty shoot off, down to the last penalty, if you thought a mirror reflecting light might put Berbatov off, so causing him to miss and sending West Ham through, you wouldn't try it? Hopefully, you wouldn't spit full in the face of another human being? There's gamesmanship, cheating and sub human behaviour!
Yep, gamesmanship is part of the game, doesn't mean I have to like it. At matches I'll yell for anything and everything. When I'm playing however, I'm as honest as possible and quite often piss my team mates off when I'll own up to a handball or whatever. Haraunging the referee us done by a lot of teams now, should we consider making that part of our game too? I'd bet you would take Rijkaard with open arms given your hatred of Curbs. Like I said, its a scale and what we are accepting now is different from we would have 10 years ago and it'll be different in 10 years again. Not condoning spitting on the slightest. I just think that was a heat of the moment lack of self control and diving is often pre-meditated and calculated [Gerard].
I disagree. People don't spit in other people's faces unless it is in their nature to do so. I would not want Rijkaard at West Ham, just as I don't want Diouf and Bowyer.
I don't particularly like Diouf or what he's done in the past but when he is on the pitch he does make things happen and chips in with a few goals as well...he wouldn't be my first choice by any stratch of the imagination but he couldn't do any worse than some of what we've got could he?
(8)He's Gunna Spit in a Minute , he's gonna spit in a minute, spit in a minute!(8) good player got a bad attitude...wont be liked at Upton park or made to feel welcome !
