Name all the players who, since 1970, have featured in away victories over both Man Utd and Arsenal. What a happy trip down memory lane! Wonder how many no marks like Anton Otulakowski will feature and how many of the greats won't? There are some asy ones to begin with like the team from our Great Escape last season so we will count Anton Ferdinand and his supporting cast as givens!

Dave, remembered those two mystery players yet?
Dave, I'm beginning to think you called this one wrong too! How many is that now mate?
Polite cough. Could you fill in the gaps please Dave. It is nagging at me and I don't really want to repeat my trawl through the stats. Fun first time around but not a second...
But you know the answer. There are two players who have won at both Arsenal and United apparently. Who were they? I know Di Canio won twice at Old Trafford but he was never in a winning side at Highbury. Name the two Dave, I'm sure I'm not the only one keen to know!
DAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! STILL WAITING MATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE NAMES AND THE GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! COME ON, SHARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DAVE!!!!!! DAVE!!!!!!! FILL IN THE GAPS WITH THE GAMES PLAYED!!!!!!!!
The complete list, by my reckoning is: Day
Lock
Lampard Snr
Bonds
Devonshire
Pike
Brooking
Jennings
Hislop
Hutchison
McCartney
Green
Collins
Anton Ferdinand
Neill
Noble
Reo-Coker
Tevez
Zamora
Spector
Boa-Morte
Mullins
Benayoun
Harewood
Not even close to the full list. And you haven't even named the 2 players who have won at Arse and Man Utd TWICE in Claret and Blue. And yes. It was since the 70's
Reveal all Dave, with the games they played in. I have checked back through the records but I could have made a mistake. The proof is in the pudding...as with LBM's 30% win ratio when starting games for West Ham and Anton's 44% positive win differential in the season 2006/07!
Are you gonna tell us or are you gonna keep this thread open so you two can keep flirting with each other?
I'll post the full list tomorrow Den. Give others a chance first! Sorry, forgot. Will do it tomorrow!
Mark Ward, Frankie Mac, Alan Devonshire... I remember being taken to Old Trafford in mid 80's and Devonshire scored 2 in a 3-2 win, but can't for the life of me remember the scorer of the 3rd. Plus I remember we used to have some epic battles with Manure in the 80's televised on 'The Big Match' and Wardy scoring a scorcher from near the touchline past Bailey... can't remember if it was home or away though! Did Rosenior score in an away win at Arsenal?
25 Aug 1986 was the 3-2 win at Old Trafford. Devs got one and MacAvennie scored twice. Leroy scored in a 1-0 win at the Arse on 11 Jan 1989 in the FA Cup and Wardy scored at home to Man Utd on 02 Feb 1986. Strange how the memory plays tricks. I remember Wardy as scoring loads but he only got 14 in 200 odd games. One of my all time favourites he is.
And Louis Boa-Morte, 60% win ratio.
Maths letting you down again mate. 42% win ratio. But that is food for thought! I didn't expect it to be that good! Just imagine if he scored goals! Mind you, in games he starts, the win percentage is just 30% - which is what I would expect! Statistics, providing the sample is big enough and the context is understood, they rarely lie.
Played in 33 games of which 20 were wins. Makes it 60.6060606060606061%. So seeing as you think LBM is crap, it don't say much for the FAT. Learn to add and divide before you get into percentages. Its why I don't bother arguing the toss with your figures about the FAT anymore.
Sorry Dave, either you are well versed in deception by mismanaging data or you are a complete idiot! Yes LBM has started 33 games but in those matches we have achieved 10 victories - that is 30%. Yes we have achieved 20 victories when he has played but that includes his 15 appearances as substitute! So, West Ham have a 66% win ratio when LBM COMES OFF THE BENCH but a 30% win ratio when he starts a game. Impact substitute is his best role perhaps? As against Sunderland? Bloody good job you didn't become a tax accountant, you really are a dead loss when it comes to statistics! Go on, grit your teeth and type, "Sorry Fanno, I was wrong - again!" And, given my statistics are right again, and yours are wrong again, how about responding to the Anton thread? How comes we are so much more successful when he plays as opposed to when he doesn't?
Parkes
Hislop
Standen
Day
Sissons
Hurst
Byrne
Boyce
Brabrook
Moore
Ken Brown
Brooking
Billy Jennings
Lock
Tommy Taylor
Bonzo
Devonshire
Lamps Snr
Otulakowski
Neil Orr
Pike
Ray Stewart
Alvin Martin
Alan Dickens
George Parris
Tony Gale
Cottee
......I'll leave some else to work out which two players won at Old Trafford and Higbury twice whilst wearing the Claret and Blue
Come on Dave, read the question PROPERLY, it says since 1970. Picked that date as most agree the modern era began then, with the bigger boys starting to pull away from the rest (I know United were relegated subsequently). So, of those you have listed, Standen, Hurst, Byrne, Boyce, Brabrook, Moore, Ken Brown and Sissons are all ruled out by the wording of the question. Think you are wrong with a few of the others too - and you've missed at least one player. What about the players in the current era - not all of them chalked up victories against both! Ah, listed below! You haven't got all of them either. And you should have listed Anton!
Just cos you can't count beyond 30 doesn't mean no-one else can. Sorry to piss on your bonfire (Not)
So, what about pre 1960 if you want to ignore the question? Go back to when you were a kid on the terraces - 1923 wasn't it? And what about getting the modern era right first? Piss on my bonfire all you like, I guess incontinence is an issue at your age!
too many players to list but two of them are currently at villa, one of the players played for Arsenal and westham from the older matches, bit of trivia there for ya but I am not writing down 40 odd names, no way, good luck
Are you thinking of Radford? If so, he didn't win at Old Trafford. They have to have chalked up away victories at both United and Arsenal to qualify!
I make it a total of just 24 since 1970, so not too many to list. Who can come up with the other 23 who join Anton Ferdinand on quite a select "Band of Honour"?

Anton Ferdinand has joined Roy Keane's Sunderland on a four year deal, he will be nearer to his brother and further away from temptation apparently.Who's onlineThere are currently 3 users and 9 guests online.
