We have had the open slanging matches and I think we all agree that gets out of hand at times but now we seem to have swung round to the opposite extreme, with three paragraphs of apologies and arse licking before certain posters dare to express disagreement with their bosum pals. I am sure it is all said in the true spirit of cosying up to your mates but, from the outside, it is more than a mite stomach churning guys. Ok, we all know you love each other, we've got that message, but let's not turn this into a glorified claret and blue gay dating room. Surely, if you are such good mates you can run the risk of saying, "Disagree" without applying more butter to your post than Marlon Brando used in "Last Tango in Paris". This is a forum, we are here to debate, not massage each other's egos! Perhaps if people ran the risk of inciting their mates a little, the place might be a tad more interesting! Thank God for IG's return, a least a few sparks might fly!

Fanno as you say this is a forum and people do come on here & debate. Everyone has their own style, some like to get their point over but are also capable of seeing the other point of view as well. Others like to take a harder line and try to dominate but that's ok as long as they can take what they give without resorting to abuse. Your always going to get some that get on better with certain posters than others and also as we all I hope have the same love then it follows that regulars will form some "friendships" if you like. I get on with plenty on here but if I disagree then I say I do but I admit I do try and conduct myself properly. Not so sure why the love ins bother you my dear, are you after a little hug yourself!! Think most would concur that the site is lacking in some oomph at the moment. The "love ins" would be fine if hard core but it is all too soft porn - soft focus lens, careful camera angles sort of stuff. I don't mind it if they get their tongues properly down one anothers' throats but the pseudo kissing is just, well tiresome!
I would imagine most sites like this go through a quiet spell this time of year. We come on here to talk West Ham and there's not much to talk about at the moment so another reason why we probably just have a chin wag/Love in! I certainly think it will get livelier on here as the new season approaches and all the regulars return, watch this space....

Come on Del, "Jase" accused you of being patronising and I wasn't surprised! Then the butter came out, great chunks of Lurpack! By the time it had been greased up, you could have accommodated the channel tunnel train in Jason's rectum and, as a result, it was decided everybody agreed with everybody else anyway! All the initial aggression came from Jason. I know there are different styles but, IMO, it is getting a bit much. Others might disagree. I am sure they are right actually, you know I always respect their views and love them to bits but... ;-}
Read the debate again it was never like that. No agree to disagree nothing like that. Jase is always argumentative so occasionally I wind him up and to do so I deliberately become slightly patronising at times but that is not my general style as you well know. Yeah I post a lot like you do, but I can count on one hand the number of people I have really pissed off whereas you could fill the Chicken Run. The difference between this site and other chat forums is that we are all West Ham supporters so I try and show respect during an argument. It can be done without being abrasive or going OTT.
