After everything that has happened to West Ham over the past two years, you think that article sums it up for Curbs Del? Finsihed off with Curs would have rather got rid of ashton than the likes of selling LBM, Quasie and company? Just more bollcoks, but lets not argue mate, I am excited to see what the next manager brings. I hope to see a better finish than 10th this year with some flair, if the board get their wallet out in January then that should be easily obtained, especially as the the tactical numpty Curbs could do it with an injured squad.

There’s a lot wrong with this article and some just pure crap “But he was well aware the club had to raise £16million in the summer and cut the wage bill to below a ridiculous £60m. Zammo/Pants 6.1 million – Anton 8, McCartney 6, I make that over 20 million. Joorabchian says the wages were 50 million not 60. “how big West Ham had become” hes having a laugh, just come up from the fizzy pop nearly went down in the second season, crap in the 3rd now sacked the manager, with gypsies tramps and thieves running the show. 1966 is 42 yaers ago & we’re talking about owners in 2008 with billions Shep should stick to shagging em cos he can’t talk football, as he says

Rob Shepherd is a West Ham supporter with close ties to the club. After the euphoria of our 4-1 win over Blackburn whilst other journo's were saying "pressure off Curbs", he called it right predicting Curbs would be history and Bilic was being lined up. The correct wage bill was £55m and that came from the mouth of our vice chair and that is as high as Arsenal's but without Champs League revenue as a result of Curbs/Eggy extravagant signings. That is why we are in such a mess and both these two are history. Before he left Curbs wasn't trusted on transfers regardless of what small print he had in his contract and as you say had agreed to raise £16m from sales. The tragedy is, he couldn't get shot off LBM, Neill, Quashie, Gabbidon & Davenport and we had to sacrifice Ferdinand & McCartney as well as Zamora. Although Curbs left with dignity he never acknowledged the costly mistakes he made and IMO Rob Shepherd's article simply points these out!

Arsenal are, of course, trying to finance the Emirates Stadium. That is eating up the Champions League money and some Del!

It is still outrageous that our wage bill was as high as theirs making it the 3rd highest in the Prem!

Eggy said we were aiming for the top 4 - he delivered the wage bill at least!

West Ham are the 22nd richest club in the world. Not to be sniffed at. Makes you wonder what state the rest of 'em are in.

The rich list is based on turnover not profit and indeed due to our FA cup run and final money we got to number 19, 2 seasons ago and that was the catalyst for our being sold by Brown!

Indeed! Thanks for putting it in perspective.
