"Stand up if you love West Ham, stand up..."

The football club, like any basilica, is its people, WE are West Ham United, it is us that the media slander and mock – It is we that should stand strong in the face of adversity. The greatest battles are fought by the soldiers and warriors who have become famous and immortal as a result of the great victories they achieved; their bravery, perseverance, determination, cunning, tactics, sacrifices and fortitude have written the stories of their battles and their names on the sands and winds of time. Our supporters are respected throughout the land, regardless of the grounds we visit, as the best in the land, let’s not turn and spit in the face of our own. These are troubled times at Upton Park but it is us, “We are West Hams Claret n Blue Army” it is us that will stand, un-cynical, in the presence of aridity. Owners come & go, managers come & go, players come & go but we stand firm, upright and loyal against the barrage of descent that is levelled against us. Let this not be our 1066, let not insidious ironic gallows humour be levelled by us against our own. in such times when we need, not only to be united, but we should be seen to be united, West Ham United. Let’s not degenerate to the level of the shite(no)hart lane mob, mocking our troops when they need us most. “We all follow the West Ham over land and sea, we all follow the West Ham onto victory, ALL TOGETHER NOW, we all…….

Had a look at the Leeds United basilica lately? Or the Nottingham Forest basilica? Or the Leicester City basilica. Blind faith is folly. Honest support, involving frank and honest assessment of where we are and what is happening is much more sensible. Putting an arm in the air and shouting Zeich Heil seemed like a good idea in Nuremberg for a while but when reality dawned...

It's "Sieg heil" you pompous prat. We have Wickipedia now, or dictionary.com etc. etc. so you have no excuse for the mistakes you so readily pull people up for on this site! Your undying love for yourself leads you make the same mistakes that you accuse us of. Keep writing Trev, it's actually become quite entertaining watching you slowly bore the rest of the Klan to tears (of laughter)!

LOL Do you know, as I typed it I thought, "F8ck that's wrong". Then I thought, they can't spell "there" and "their" but I will bet ten thousand to a pinch of sh1t that the Klan can spell Sieg Heil. Funny that!

Two responses to that. Firstly that Leeds, Leicester and Forest were sleep walking as they made a series of ludicrous footballing and business decisions - thus the yawns. Or secondly, the yawn is a primitive instinct to alert animals in a pack to danger. As one feels tired, so it yawns to alert the others of the risk of tiredness. The yawn is "catching" because the other animals in the pack yawn to spread the message. So, if a dog yawns and you yawn back in mockery, it gets very agitated. If I am making you yawn therefore, I am alerting you to impending danger. That is preferable to singing bubbles as West Ham slide into oblivion!!!! Take care we aren't all singing "I'm West Ham Till THEY Die!"

LMFAO IG I've been getting similar from the Geordies & Machems up here. My answer was similar to yours and I love it when that daft Geordie smile disappears as your hit that wonderful nerve. COYWhydotheyalwaysleadwiththeirchinIrons!!

IG, give us a shout if you come down to Sydney. Would love to sort my game out. I try and play at least once a fortnight and go to the range maybe twice a week. I'm off to see my old man in Thailand with my old Hong Kong mates in January if you fancy it. Some great courses out there and some excellent 19th holes......ooh err. COYhighhandicapIrons.
