We once wrote an article entitled "weird scenes at the Gold mine" which paraphrased the name of a Doors album title, in it we eulogised but mocked David Gold's twitter messages that he would randomly add, later on as he got a bit older his account was 'highjacked' by the club's PR team in order to avoid too much of the truth getting out!

So according to David Moyes the Board and himself are a LOT older and wiser than most and are able to see the 'bigger picture' when all others can only see what is in front of them.

Bold talk indeed for a manager who has just overseen an appalling run of domestic form of 14 wins in 42 games, culminating in the recent sequence of FIVE defeats in a row!

Mark Noble officially rejoins West Ham today as director of football, as he takes up his new role 'Mr West Ham' must be thinking what he has let himself in for. Noble's love of the club is well known, but even he must be slightly overawed by the task ahead of him.

David Moyes' tenure at West Ham United is about to reach it's nadir as he has been summoned to Theydon Bois, where majority shareholder David Sullivan lives.

Having already been given the dreaded 'vote of confidence, tomorrow's meeting in the leafy part Essex is more likely than not going to be when Moyes gets the 'tin tack'.

Now that the World Cup is drawing to it's conclusion with the final between Argentina and France to be held at 3PM GMT, focus will invariably shift to players' domestic responsibilities. Most people have been pleasantly surprised with how WELL the Cup has gone in what is after all a Pariah State that has a dreadful human liberty and human rights reputation, perhaps the Legacy of the Qatar World Cup of 2022 will be that tolerance is NOT a one way street.
