West Ham co-owner David Sullivan is most definitely NOT everyone's cup of tea, everything about him is relatively creepy, but he is a GOOD business man, generally! But speaking of General(l)y his propensity for wearing Russian head gear clearly has to stop if it hasn't done so already, the fact that the Hammers current supremo is lining up a Putin like take over of his former 'territory' of Birmingham by installing a puppet owner is clearly indicative of how he sees 'projects of enhancement', never aggressive take overs!

Danny Drinkwater, who signed from Leicester in a deal worth for £35 Million in 2017, is departing Chelsea having not made a senior appearance for the Blues since the 2018 Community Shield defeat by Manchester City at Wembley Stadium. Drinkwater scored once in 23 games for Chelsea and left the club four times on loan spells, with the most recent being for the duration of the 2021/22 campaign in the Championship with Reading. It seems like an age, but the transfer window has only been open for less than a week and as expected the 'natives' are getting restless as fans right across the country scrutinise every scrap of news they can find out about the comings and goings of players from and to their club, mainly as to where those players they are acquiring come from and how much they cost.

For years every transfer window served to remind West Ham fans just how little investment there was being made in the club, as opposed to it's London neighbours. Virtually every time Hammers showed an interest in a player and it became public, either one or other of Arsenal, Chelsea or especially 'Tottingham' instantly showed an interest in said player.

Hammers pursuit of getting an additional striker in to complement Michail Antonio seems to have been stepped up judging from reports that The Irons sent scouts to watch Austria play Denmark in Vienna and it is believed 6' 7 " forward Sasa Kalajdzic was the player they were monitoring.

The 24 year old striker was a target for the Hammers during the last transfer window but as usual nothing happened, the Stuttgart striker played the first 45 minutes, but was unimpressive as Austria suffered a 2-1 defeat to Denmark
in the UEFA Nations League.
