Bilic staying for now

no real surprise. the board say he's staying for the time being. whether this means he's been told to get a result v huddersfield or 3 wins out of 5 etc who knows. I'm hearing a lot of sacking him would be 'harsh' after just 3 games etc. fair enough its only 3 games and they were all away. however two out of the 3 were winnable ones. also the manner of the 3 losses is a big concern. add to this the fact that once again the season kicks off and the players look no where near up for it…and i do wonder why Bilic is being paid. we are not the ones making the decisions, we are at the mercy of the board and manager. so i guess its the old 'lets get behind the team' mantra for now. hopefully we see a big improvement against huddersfield, i suspect we can't be any worse. however they are a team full of confidence and playing in a manner we won't like….pressing and pace. lets hope we match them at least in energy.

This smacks of there's nobody else available yet to take over. In other words any Manager currently without a club and or doing pundit work are not being considered. Which means as we guessed already, any replacement is currently employed and managing elsewhere!!!!

So slav will have to perform a miracle, which isnt going to happen in a million years,to get the board to even consider keeping him on....just delaying the inevitable imo

let the team prove they are worth supporting because if they dont care putting in performances like saturday why should we.....southampton not scored at home for 6/7 matches we turn up oh look 3 go in then southampton play wolves in the cup at home wolves made 11 changes and bam they win 0-2 newcastle home to forest bam lose 2-3 play us with a makeshift back four and second choice keeper they stuff us 3-0 so why should we get behind the team and the spin doctors does anyone think it will change? nope he will play the same formation as usual pass backwards sideways never forwards play that useless ayew wide one up top and a woeful back four with a shite keeper and lets see what they do against a well organised team like huddersfield....so i say stuff getting behind the team let them prove first they are worth getting behind.....and wasn't it nice to give the team a couple of days off after saturday....made my blood boil hearing that..i would of hauled the bloody lot in shut and bolted the doors and had a blood bath letting all the shite come out and until it did they would be going nowhere.

i agree, but what can the fans do? we surely don't want to get into the situation whereby we want the team to lose so bilic goes. i don't want that anyway even if i want shot of him. I've little faith in the board, for me they are masters of spin, everyone outside the club looking in, tv pundits etc all claim Bilic has been backed in the transfer market….to an extent he has yes…and he's failing badly even with what he's got but imo the books look to be in credit at this point after the refusal to pay 40 mill for carvalho. i saw a shot from last season at the L.S, it was of Brady and G&S and family all seemingly basking in the sunshine of the 'royal' box looking on at their peasants below…does make you wonder if the move was all a plan to get themselves a better match day experience…for me it all looks like a stitch up, the club has lost its ground, the team is no better than before….yet that wasnt what we were sold was it?

as fans the club no they have us over a barrel...you cannot help but support the team its in the blood of every fan so the only way of showing the anger at what has been dished up already this season and last season gone is to make some kind of protest...like Red neck says you can choose not to go and not to open the wallet and just support from afar...you still have the passion but why get turned over for being that way....and as for the poor dears fragile egos imagine what would happen if they run out on the monday night game bubbles pumped through the sound system but not one soul in the ground singing it just stare at the players and say you want us on your side well go bloody do something about it..of course it wont happen because as fans we care about our club not the owners not the players but the club we have in our hearts.....we lost our soul in the move and no matter how they spin it they made an error...yes bigger ground bigger revenue all that sugar coating but underneath it all the club is dying a slow death...i no many fans like me who will not ever set foot in the ground it is not home and i no many fans who have been and will never go again....had the club renovated the boleyn would it be this way? i think not...but regardless of that we are now 3 defeats into a season that already promises little and so the circus continues..a once great club now just becoming a joke...harsh words maybe but i fear truthful

Huddersfield smell blood. It's a great opportunity for them. One mistake and we're in the deep. It should never have gone this far. I really hate must-win matches!

Agree Mac. Team, manager and board all need to prove they deserve it. Get behind the team? ATM no chance. I've voted with my feet and wallet. Time to give me something back. Only an idiot would ever want the team to lose. But if we don't carry bilic he will be gone, eventually. If he gets 3 points then what? Another 4 games? In short his contract is now 4 games long rather than the year. Board have shown a lack of balls on this. They are just dithering. Board dithering, bilic dithering, players dithering. Maybe it is the boards fault? Strong leadership breeds strong leadership and filters down. Bilic reflects the board, the players reflect bilic!

what about Eddie Howe? i think he's proven himself now last couple of seasons. the sad thing is would he leave bournemouth for west ham? are we being overtaken by clubs coming from oblivion like bournemouth, watford, huddersfield, burnley, WBA? there was a time you couldn't mention any of those in our league..i do like that about english football, those once big clubs being brought back to life like huddersfield etc but it seems it could be at our expense as we;re drifting and they are progressing.

He's not high profile enough for our board..they like a name something they can spin... if bilic got sacked tomorrow he would be in another job quick as you like...no other industry like it you fail you get sacked and someone will always offer you the same job elsewhere...

Eddie Howe? I like him and he is a proper manager who helps improve players on the training ground. But if we are lead to believe we are moving up, then it has to be hiddink or benetez.

Having witnessed all our home league games last season except the Palace match, we basically under performed, looked slow and had nothing upfront. When we won it was 1-0 and nail biting time at that. I like Bilic a lot but even with a few semi decent basement signings we actually look worse. I know it's away from home so far in the league but I cant see us winning at home either at the moment the way we are playing. SUGO have given him September to stop the rot (3 home games one away). according to the media that is. I just hope we play better and pick up the points to take us away from the bottom of the table.
Sullivan once again has gone into the bargain basement and baulked at Carvallo's price. Loans and cheap players only bring one thing................a fight against relegation!!!

Not a chance of us beating Huddersfield, while there in germany having a friendly, Bilic has given our team time off! He may have 4 games to save his job, but another 3-0 loss to huddersfield and his job becomes untenable really.

Maybe thats what he's after....its his way out of a very awkward situation. Win and stay for the execution or lose and have an execution called for...

just read a piece where he mentioned on his debut against citeh coming on as a sub bilic asked him did he want to play left or right it was up to him!! he did mention a few other things which kind of make you think what a joke but for a manager not to no a players position and then say well on you go its up to you where you want to play....well if its true and from noticing our seeming lack of organisation on the pitch i am pretty sure it is then you do have to ask why? for godsake it is a ridiculous state of affairs for a professional football club to be in....

i can hear bilic now saying it was not ideal so many players away we could not train properly etc etc....i don't expect to see any change in his formation and he is hoping carroll will be fit to cause chaos...and of course playing at home for the first time the whole spatial awareness thing will raise its ugly head again no doubt!

no more excuses. we didnt sign anymore players but what we did has improved the 1st team from last season. if Bilic can't sort a formation that works now and moves us up the table theres just one end...
