No Good News

Watching the news on whatever channel nowadays is 90% filed with depressing or morbid reports. So it should come as no surprise that after clicking onto Newsnow this morning the vast majority or "articles" were focused on the trouble that marred a fantastic result against Chelsea. Make no mistake if it wasn't for these mindless moron's this result would have covered the back pages in a much more positive light. Instead I've had my fill of mocking comments and purile statements made about my team and have to admit I'm outraged!
These retards, with IQ's way lower than their shoe sizes are dragging our club and everything it stands for through the mud and we're coming out smelling of Shit!
I don't know if these idiots are so called "die hards" who have found a second coming after the hooligan littered 70's and 80's, representatives of other clubs who've managed to secure a season ticket on the flawed +1 scheme and are hellbent on tarnishing our once good name, or just total imbeciles who seem to think this is a smart way to spend an evening.
I watch other sports around the globe and none of them come near to enduring this problem, why? Are football fans that effing stupid that rather than do the world a favour and jump off a bridge, they'd rather come and spoil a game for the many honest fans who go to watch and cheer on their club.
I honestly hope that everyone of these thugs is identified, banned, charged, jailed and hung out to dry by their employers so that hopefully one day in the not too distant future honest fans can take their kids to games once more and not have to shield them from mindless buffoons.
A great victory but a very sad result.

It was disgraceful, there was no need. Why can't we just let the football do the talking? It was a great result last night, we deserved to win, great atmosphere in the stadium. Really puts me off taking the kids along to the games

Those who were involved, who are West Ham fans should be banned - its not fair for them to marr this club with their neolithic behaviour and for everyone else to suffer the consequences. Just reading the reports and news items on this trouble from last night and its making my blood boil... we dont need to give the press or anyone else an excuse to lay into us - theres still a sour grapes attitude resident in the air over our award of the OS and they cannot wait to jump on any scrap of trouble to further condemn our club. Yes there is a problem with crowd control and fans but inprovements are being made! The spotlight is on us... Wheres the condemnation for the Chelsea fans, or the Boro fans who featured largely - perhaps even caused the trouble we have had in the last couple of games? I hope they sort out the policing and segregation and do it quick as there is a growing stigma being propagated by the media about us that is going to be hard to shake, and they wont be happy until we leave the stadium and are dissolved as a club to non-existence.

Yes as a veteran of the 70's and many an audience with Babs, Eccles and Kojak. Something I now admit was not big or clever. But things were different back then, beating Chelsea was as important as having a tear up in the shed end. Not too mention the Old Bill. But as I approach my 60's now with Grandkids, this horrifies me that we are regressing back to the old days. As others have stated I'd think twice about taking children there, as you just don't know what is going to happen next. Thing is we've all predicted it, so why on earth have the club not been more robust in there prevention? Where will it end? Does somebody have to be fatally stabbed????

I rarely critise the board but that plus one scheme was ludicrous, so many people who are not West Ham fans have tickets we don't really how many true fans are amongst the trouble makers. I couldn't get a season tickets and know loads of long term fans who can't either. Also know a few non fans who do! Not stick up for the trouble but rogue fans plus bad start plus everyone wanting to portray us in a bad light, plus the discontent of our fans on the move plus the envy from of teams fans has created an uneasy mix. No idea why people do this, it's actually quite childish. If you want to fight take up boxing. Not exactly sure what went on but the clips on TV were a bit handbags tho. Didn't see any punches or things thrown. Goading yes and aggressive tribalism. Trouble is if like that has been said Chelsea offered us out then a large base of our fans will always see it as invite to the old days of the 70s. Personally I think the board need to re look at how they sell season tickets next season and try every idea possible to put the right fans in the right areas of the stadium. This has to be an ongoing project for them to put right next season. The envy of other clubs fans and disgust at our move from our fans should lesson next season, but make no bones about it we need better segregation and slick organisation from the club! This won't end here as Man U and spurs games will be bad as well. Fingers crossed we don't get wall in the cup! Carnage!

Firstly I dont condone any such behaviour, its from the past and society has moved on...thank God!

However, what I saw on the breakfast news, a couple of seats throw, some coins and some heavy duty woolen scarves together with a lot of bravado... In the 70's this wouldn't even make a local paper! I saw nothing on TV worse that I see in English town centres on a Friday night. There was a full on war in Glasgow on Sunday and it wasn't mentioned on prime time BBC which suggests again a jealousy of the media with us getting the OS for a song.

This meeting of likeminded thugs has been in the news for some time so we shouldnt be surprised when there is a problem. I was horrified to see the Chelsea fans daughter, 8 years old was hit by coins and traumatised by the whole experience. Whilst I feel this should never happen I personally didn't go to the game for this reason (and work commitment) and wouldn't take an 18 year old yet alone a 8 year old! Gullible springs to mind!

Our board was proud to announce a fantastic deal negotiation by Laby B and that the Juve game paid all our expenses for the season. Well, with all the new profits surely they should invest in better ADDITIONAL security! The West Ham brand is being tarnished Lady B and that means middle England parents will not want their kids associated with a hooligan image means less shirt sales and less revenue and for that reason, with regret...Youre fired!

I made similar comments under Nevilles main post about the jealousy but just maybe security and stewarding could be better with adults in their 30 - 40's who have experience of football matches and moronic fans and not the teenagers and 20 somethings they have at the moment who don't have a clue what to do when trouble starts would help!!!

its terrible behaviour but as usual blown out of all proportion. there were 7 or 8 arrests i believe which is probably about normal for a derby between chelsea and west ham. focus on the good stuff -it was a great entertaining match and for us hammers fans fantastic to see our team outperforming an inform chelsea.

Its not about who started it mate. But I can't stand the amount of fans being called disgraceful so on and so on when all they did was defend themselves. Are they expected to stand there and just take a beating from the chelsea fans. Chelsea threw the first shower of coins, and were the ones who broke through segregation and started the entire thing yet our fans are getting blamed for everything. Its a farce mate.

You've got to remember nobody wants us to have a 60,000"stadium. That's all London clubs, the hierarchy of football and the media. This is a fact. If yo cam accept that fact you can accept everythin else after that. If there are crowd problems at Stamford Bridge you won't here about it. If there are problems with spurs fans you won't hear about it. That's the fact of where we are. Nobody apart from West Ham fans want or think we should be at the OS. Get over it and don't fuel it. We have a quality side that can beat anybody. Not even on our day but on paper. We have a young, progressive and innovative manager that can talus to glory. Shove it up your arse BBC, SKY and all who sail in you.

Both sets of fans guilty, but the press are making a meal of it and blowing it all out of proportion, don't they just love it,surely chelski must know all their fans names who booked away tickets, lets see what action is taken against them, starting with the plonker walking across the seats.

But I reckon, reading some of these posts, that a lot of you are burying your heads in the sand. Couple of coins and seats indeed!

I was there and I saw nothing... actually I thought security before and after the game was exemplary... you cant make an omelette without cracking a few eggs and unfortunately this is the world we live in, if you have a football match between rival clubs inevitably there is gonna be trouble. I wish it werent so, but thats the fact. The club are trying to prevent situations like this occurring, not encouraging them and this should be recognised. Not to excuse it but look at all the other clubs in the league and the 'Ultras' abroad... then reassess the expectation from us. We are a cheap target at the moment - and thats the truth.

I see man city fans destroyed one of the toilets at the man u game ripping the sinks off the wall and smashing the sink units. Dont see calls for them being banned from away games
