Jesse Gone-Tammy Unlikely-Time For Plan B

Large doses of reality are unwelcome in most aspects of life, even more so for football supporters desperate for their clubs to do well, even though they know in their hearts that success is very unlikely on a repeated basis, even so called top teams with relatively endless budgets!

During the 'lazy crazy days' of Manuel Pellegrini's era, the club, egged on by the majority of it's fanbase, pushed the boat out to acquire the cream of the crop. Unfortunately the cream got a little clotted when Sebastien 'le sulk' Haller strolled up to the bowl in Stratford.

Now that the club has been essentially cleaned out by the Huse and Pelle, it will be sometime before finances stabilise, consequently Hammers will NOT be seated at the top table, in fact the club will probably be in the standing room only section, living off scraps.

At the end of last season it was assumed that the club would go all out to secure Lingard on a permanent basis, also to attempt to lure Tammy Abraham away from Chelsea, sadly neither of those options are realistic now, Tammy has declared his 'love' for Arsenal and Jesse Lingard has convinced himself he can win back his starting place, against all the odds. at Manchester United.

Where does this leave West Ham? Up the creek without a paddle...between a rock and a hard place? You may use whichever expression you feel is applicable, but one thing that is for sure is that the 'targets' were virtually unattainable from the very beginning and like it or not the bar has to be lowered significantly before any 'real' transfer activity can take place.

Hammers' need for additional players is painfully obvious, so who to get and where from? As we suggested some time ago, Danny Ings is one player who might just be tempted to join up with Moyes' Boys, the 29 year old is seeking Champions League football, Hammers cannot offer that, but the Europa League group stages are not a bad option.

As the clock ticks down to the beginning of the season we shall be examining 'realistic and NOT smoke and mirror' transfer possibilities, we examine Turkish super league club Hatayspor's striker Aaron Boupendza in our next article, according to the club’s president Lutfu Savas, Boupendza is available for €8 million.

We are afraid that players of the same value will be the ones offered up to David Moyes, it stinks, but it is what it is...as they say "count your fingers" when it comes to having shaken hands on a deal with the Hammers hierarchy! - Ed

Its the board who are not....when the rumours of us signing this player that player but when you see the price is in excess of £25million we all no its not happening.....and it Pis**s me off if not most of us when we continue to go after the unattainable as to those in control thinks it makes us look a big club dining at the main table.....we are not that and never will be with the current owners and there vanity.

Armstrong from Blackburn looks a decent shout and one we should pursue Phillip Billing at Bournemouth another Players who would see coming to us as a step up and a challenge not players who think hell West Ham no only as a last resort and those who think they would do us a favour.

We made such progress last season but with the board we have with all the Bo**ox they spout and a manager who does take an extraordinary amount of time to make signings because he has to be 100000000000% certain he is right and seems to have OCD when it comes to checking checking and checking again before making a decision you no that we as a club are hamstrung by that.

Yaremchuk the latest who apparently we liked the look of and had contacted his club Gent/k? about buying for some reason that stalled and Benfica came in put the money down asked for £14.5million and signed him inside a week.....Only Moyes and the Board no the money we have to spend but by going cheap trying to hang on and see the prices come down other clubs are going to step over us and bam job done.

Low ball bids Loans thats what this club is about proper Del boys trying to keep up with the joneses....we have all seen it happen time and time again and it will keep happening until these owners finally go.

These owners are complete crooks... no money? The wage bill has been slashed, the Haller money unspent and just the little fact that they are REJECTING £400 million bids for a club they purchased for £80 million. If you are doing that then you have to invest. They're trying to make the club "self-finance" by ladling it with debt and skimming interest off the top with shareholder loans. They stand to make £400 million profit and won't invest £100 million themselves? If that is the case then get out of the club.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for us - European football, 5 or 6 top quality players and the chance to really push on. Instead the penny pinchers plead poverty and can't afford to give Rice and Coufal good contracts.

When all is said and done these scumbags will have fleeced the club for 100s of millions.

Have posted recently, believe it when I see it...we all know its going to be a tougher season,Europey cup/ premier league sustainability. The squad needs strengthening simple as that, but said it before top 6 finish was great, but need to invest to stay there!!
Imo the dildos have their best excuse possible to penny pinch - the effects of the pandemic

It's unbelievable, Rice set to go Bowen as well ,Ants fitness in doubt, we look like we could crumble before dipping a hand in the biscuit barrel .potentially the biggest season for 50 years and we're being cheated by our own hyaracy

All the great work we made and achieved last season will go straight down the Carzi within the first 4 games of the season. We are in for a tough one this season.

Why? Because our owners are complete and utter Cuthberts, crappy clints, and other vernacular associated with that subject matter - I thank you!!

Oi big boy, what's your name?

Said this at the end of the season. We need to add 5 players to just consolidate. But it was never going to happen. These 2 old pricks are holding out to sell Rice & Coufal. Scoop probably anothe £90m and piss off. I'm amazed some loon has not taken a pop at them.
What is it with these 2? You can't take your money with you unless they know different!
Our season turned last year after a bit of pressure after 2 defeats they purchase Coufal. We need to purchase early. Obviously they don't want to spend and will not. But as stated in an earlier post. There are players at Bournemouth & Blackburn who could step up like Bowen. You just know when the window closes Antonio's hamstring will go ping. In all honesty could you blame Rice if he decides to leave?
