'Big Six' Myth Exposed

The BBC's Gossip column is usually a decent barometer as to the state of play regarding players and their clubs, however it can also be a tapping up platform of the highest or lowest order, depending on your preference. In it's mission statement the Beeb underlines it's need for unbiased opinion NOT one that is corrupted by corporations or individuals.

Part of the reason the Beeb is publicly financed is because of it's neutrality when it comes to reporting, however that doesn't appear to be the case with their Gossip Column. In today's despatch they are again acting as unpaid agents for the so called 'big six' clubs! Here is one of today's annoying snippets delivered on Liverpool's behalf.

"Right now, Bowen fits the bill and Klopp even had some subtle praise for him post-match, as the German tactician labelled the aforementioned corner "a great set-piece." With a transfer unlikely to occur in January, the Reds will be linked with countless names between now and the summer window But if the uncapped Englishman continues to blossom in east London, it won't be long until a member of the 'Big Six' comes calling - and Klopp should be at the front of the queue."

What an arrogant and pretentious comment? In case it had eluded those at the Beeb, Hammers are currently 'top three' equal on poiunts with Man City, one place above Liverpool and three only three points off league leaders Chelsea. There are a whole generation of vacuous cow towers who work in the media, their blowing of smoke up the orifices of the 'top teams' is becoming boring whilst continuing to be more and more inaccurate.

Hammers have gone under the radar for nearly one third of the season and are only just getting anywhere near the credit they deserve, even now the doom sayers have jumped on Angelo Ogbonna's injury as a source of negativity involving the club. Sour grapes? Spilled Milk? and ref rhetoric have all been employed in order to protect the old order, but their case is more wafer thin than Hammers squad!

I've stopped reading the BBC news site, it's not unbiased - though it purports to be. Theyve also forgotten what news its and dumb everything down for the Internet generation, its all influencers and social media orientated now - don't care if I sound like an old git but its true! When all the Saville malarkey came out and the historical abuse there it showed just how corrupt the institution was. And dont get me started when it comes to presenters salaries etc. I used to work there not long ago and they made their technical workforce all redundant and got them back in on fixed term contracts, meanwhile paying kids peanuts on 0 hours to make up the difference, lost its way a long time ago. Anyway bit of a rant, the last thing I use from them is the football site only from familiarity but that will end soon as you point out - tired of the big 6 bias
