Has anyone one seen anything in pre season and the 2 league games to suggest Anderson is worth even half we paid for him. A bit soon to be critical but it seems pelegrini is being very naive.

Does he have the ability to perform to a high standard in the Premier League? That depends on whether or not he can get up to pace. It's clear that right now he ain't got it. He was knackered after 45, thus pretty much worthless in the second half. And even in the first half -- his reflexes are not where they need to be to compete in the league. Some people can make the adjustment, though, and I hope he can. I'm willing to give him a bit more time. I still think we stunk in this match, except for 20 minutes of the first half that I didn't see.

By the way, if anyone thinks it was close, they should factor in Nobe's penalty that wasn't called and a couple of good saves by Fabiansky. 4-1 would not have been impossible. We are not at the races yet.

Should have been a penalty on replay, as it first looked like arm to arm. But Noble really impeded him after he was beaten very easily. There should have been another penalty to Bournemouth. Will take a few goodies from the referee, otherwise we are always shafted by their decisions over the years.

David Moyes getting Jordan Hugill is proving to be a master stroke. He really will be wearing the claret and blue next season working tirelessly to get us promoted again.

Why not bring on Antonio instead of the Arsenal reject who was awful when he came on. Only Yarmalenko looked like he wanted to get going. I prefer our team that finished with a zip last season as compared to what was out there today. Yes, Anderson especially in the second half was really disappointing as he was giving the ball away too often, trying to claim a foul and then not even running back to defend, hence exposing Masuaku. His attitude is like Payet was towards the end of his season, but has done nothing of any value so far. As I keep on stating that Noble is too, too slow and really we have the slowest midfield in the Premier Division. Anyone knows what has happened to Rice, as he was not even on the bench. He would have prevented the first goal as he does not rashly throw in the tackles like both Noble and Ogbonna did. All they had to do was surround King and prevent him from running with the ball, as he had no assistance from any of the other Bournemouth players. Well the second goal was Ogbonna just trying to foul the goal scorer and nothing else. We need to add a few youngsters from the Under 23 who spanked Tottenham. BTW Bournemouth beat Marseille 5-0 in the preseason. They look like a club that can finish in the top six. As for West Ham, some mouth watering matches to come, against the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Everton and Man United. 12 points in the bag. LOL!!

New manager, new players, new season. SAME OLD!!!! Two games gone and already SIX goals shipped. Adrian must be laughing his socks off. Why on earth Snodgrass is now in the first team is completely beyond me. Can someone please explain to me why, whoever the manager is and whoever the players are, we are defensively clueless??? Oh and we obviously now have a new penalty taker. I wasn’t overly impressed by Pellegrini’s post-match interview either.

Pellegrini is still getting to know the players. By the middle of January he will know how to position them by using their strengths. Then he can hand them over to Allardyce and he can steady the sinking ship after his two or three loan signings in the January transfer window. Come next season we can then hire Wenger and the two Davids can open their wallets and hand out another 100 million. After all money is what the Premier League is all about!!

Agree. No change although for a spell under Moyes the work rate improved, the defence had shape and the luxury of Lanzini who can making a telling pass. Really worried about the lack of pace in the midfield, Noble and Wilshire together is not sound judgement.

I did however, say I was happy with his pedigree and appointment. I was always wary that with such a massive upheaval of the playing squad that it could possibly go tits up. And two games is not really enough to prove one way or the other so not jumping on any bandwagon yet. Of all the players signed, Wilshere is the only known player for me so I'll reserve judgement on the whole shebang til about January. Seriously hoping that Pellegrini is given time, but knowing the current crop of West Ham fans........

Are the clubs i admire the most, both were in the chumps for donkeys years, got their chance to prove themselves in the prem & are still there!apart from their support most people would struggle to name a few of their players...cos there are no big time charlies just a togetherness where everyone plays their part

Perhaps the deadly duo should have relocated the club to the south coast? At least it might have got rid of the legendary gypsey curse!

I wouldn't get so excited about Brighton and Bournemouth yet. They are admirable in the way Hammers65 says, and that is worth a lot, but they do not have the depth to carry them through the long EPL season on togetherness alone. The time will come for them to lose form, especially towards the end of the season. Of course, every point they pick up now helps protect them from relegation. I don't expect Bournemouth to go down. Brighton might, but there are more obvious candidates. If West Ham is relegated, it will be for different reasons: A club that is not well organised, a side that can't play together, and a manager who has been out of the major leagues too long. There is still time for all of that to change, but right now we are awful.
