Is curbs to blamed for injuries?

Whereas a manager should not be blamed for injuries,Curbs has done himself no favours whatsoever.Firstly he removed the best thing Pardew set up at the club - It's fitness and sports physios led by Niall Clarke and replaced them with mediocre personel. To exarcerbate the situation he went on a spending spree which's leading criteria seemed to be "have you a poor injury record? "and "Do you want silly money?". The plain fact of the matter is that "the chronic injury list" is a very convenient and "time buying" excuse for Curbishley to hide behind, because when he has had options he has been painfully exposed on many occasions for his lack of tactical nous and selections. The only reason West Ham stayed up last season was the fact that named TEVEZ was finally etched into the side of his cranium by thousands of Hammers' fans week after week screaming for him to play him rather than Harewood and Cole! added to the fact that his mid field maestro Nigel Quashie got injured and all that was left was Mark Noble! Lets hope that Nani is the first step in some real ambition being shown by the club's new owners and that he is followed in the door by a manager that has more ambition than being safe by Christmas.

i think the injuries are totally down to the players. if the backroom staff are so bad why is it that when they where with charlton they had some of the lowest number of injuries in the prem. also a few bigtime players need to be kicked with some hardworking quality players.

I remember reading somewhere that we HAVE pretty much swapped the medical staff man for man with Charlton in the summer including Sports Scientists/physio's etc. I think it may have been over someone's shoulder in Hammers News or whatever the magazine is called. Anyone have a copy that they can check? If we don't have those sorts of personnel at the club, than something is seriously wrong with both Curbs and BG for allowing that to happen.

Good accurate post Lightyear!Unfortunately Curbs will not be shown the door as his job for this season was to consolidate.Yes he has done that but he has wasted a perfect opportunity to press on and take us further.Im getting bored off the old injuries chestnut.Dyer apart, with the injuries sustained by the players this season does Curbs honestly believe they will all be fit for next season?Lets be honest they are all frigged!
