Hammers v RamsSubmitted by Neville Nixon on 19 April, 2008 - 11:29.
It's a pity that Alan Curbishley cannot call on some of his brother's more persuasive charms when it comes to people motivation, brother Bill in case you didn't know is the manager of the Who, it was he who demanded that the band fulfilled their promised gigs despite the death of their bassist on the eve of the tour!
It is to be hoped that the team of fitness specialists called in by the club don't do an immediate U turn when confronted with the reality that is Chadwell Heath, if they do progress further than the car park they will notice a particularly interesting ribbed concrete walkway that leads from the training pitches to the Portakabin facilities where the players change, if you wanted to increase the chances of players tripping over on their studs you could not have wished for a better surface and the list goes on....basically the facilities on offer are a joke and are on a par with a Dutch second division club's! In no other area of business would such valuable assets (the players when they are not crocked) be treated with such disdain, add to that the massive financial turnover (players wages) and it is clear to see that some major restructuring right across the board to include training and medical support is essential and much sooner than later.
One humorist at the Beeb was quoted as saying that they have a sweepstake to see how many West Ham players will NOT be available each week, and he is a Hammers supporter!
Here are the squads but don't expect to see Lucas Neill, Mark Noble or Julien Faubert feature.........................................

Enlightening Post, Nev. That explains a lot to those of us who have no idea what the training facilities are like. It sounds APPALLING! Makes me feel more sympathetic to the players. But if it's that bad, how can anyone with a billion dollars let it continue like that??? I hope BIG spends his money wisely, cos it looks like he's gonna have to spend a lot. Ever hear of the Money Pit? Ha, Ha, it's called WHUFC! Well, that's my football team through and through, claret and blue. COME ON YOU IRONS!!!!!
