Manchester Utd v West Ham UtdSubmitted by Neville Nixon on 3 May, 2008 - 08:09.
Alan Curbishley's ringing endorsment of Manchester United's 'right' to win the Premiership came as a bit of a surprise, the timing, just ahead of this Saturday's clash against the Champions elect, couldn't have been stranger. Perhaps it was meant to be a bit of kidoligy, with Hammers new blood Tomkinson, Collison and Sears readying for the off it will be intersting to see if they share their manager's sentiments. - Ed

The performance against Man
The performance against Man U on Saturday was the most abject and embarassing display I've even witnessed in almost forty years of supporting this fantastic club. The whole 'big smiles, ah sure what does it matter, you're Man United you're obviously going to win' attitude displayed by the players was enough to have me shouting at the screen. I can only imagine how the fans who spent their hard earned travelling up to Manchester must have felt.
I first started supporting the Hammers in 1970 at the age of seven. On the eve of the best World Cup ever England were going in as champions and with three of the heroes of 66 ( Moore, Hurst, Peters) still very much involved, deciding to support West Ham was a bit of a no brainer. Of course over the last 37 years we've had our ups and downs but I've never once regretted my decision. The kind of football played at Upton Park has always been free flowing, skillful and aspirational. Players were encouraged to go out and express themselves with the result that ordinary players were sometimes great and great players were often downright amazing. Football has changed. The Premier League is now all about money. The fact is we may never be in a financial position to challenge the 'Big Four'. THAT DOESN'T MATTER!! West Ham is about more than clinging on to midtable safety. It's about taking chances. Playing with flair and above all passion. COYI.

Genaro Gattuso..Read on slovakian football site that he is going to join in summer West Ham Utd..Would be a class sitter - cant compare with quality of Mullins..Top player!
..I have seen him on Italian sport channel and he said.."My the biggest dream is to play in Premier league and I hope, one day I will be a part of it"...Now Nani is Italian bloke, so that could be a reason how to atracct decent italian players...
