Will Curbs Still Be In Charge Next Season?

Curbs ducked the OT press conference and did not issue his Manager on Monday post which is most unlike him and has kept his head down all week. The media is rife with speculation that Ljungberg has been offered £3m to cut and run and that may make Curbs position untenable as he signed him along with all the other injury prone high earners. Day has also hinted that he and Curbs may be shown the door. We also have the Roehampton experts about to deliver their verdict. There is no smoke without fire ( similar to the Allardyce, Mourinho & Jol rumours before they were sacked) and my guess is Eggy man Curbs will soon be history. What do you lot reckon?

It makes no difference who comes here, some will support the manager some will be against, as in the current situation, it was the same with Pards,& Roeder, even Harry had his knockers.  The main complaint will be that we dont play the West Ham way, of course we won't, our game will be influenced by the managers instructions. Curbs and Day has blamed the injuries for our poor results, yet they claim success for reaching 10th position, bit of a contradiction there! The hatrick of the games where we had four goals scored against us was unacceptable, then last week's defeat against Man U another four goals again blamed on injuries. Most of the players that the current management brought in have had a lengthy spell in the treatment room, so we really haven't had any value for the money paid for them, that begs the question has any research been carried out before we buy and can the managements  judgement be relied upon?.It appears that as soon as Curbs was appointed he then appointed his Charlton mates into key positions, Day, Snodin, and the treatment staff. This to me is the biggest mistake and I blame the board for allowing this to happen, when recruting for these positions the board should have been more involved and insisted that only the best people available be employed, not your mates thats a recipe for disaster. If Curbs is to stay then perhaps he should have a new backroom staff (no mates, no ex Charlton, if he doesn't stay then his mates will leave anyway, problem solved. If I was in BG's position I know what I would be doing. I remember when Curbishley played his first senior game, he came through the academy and showed so much promise, he couldn't get a regular game so he requested a transfer and moved to Villa, he was there for about a season then went to Birmingham, Charlton and Brighton, had he stayed at Upton Park under John Lyall I am sure he would have gained more honours as a player.A good player doesn't automatically become a good manager, John Lyall's playing career was cut short and under the guidance of Ron Greenwood became a great manager, Harry Rednapp whom I thought should have never played for the Hammers he was far to greedy and reluctantly passed the ball and usually fluffed it, he has become a great manager.  COYhardtopleaseirons

I think Curbs is on his way out.Whether he jumps or is pushed. As a replacement i would like to see Frank Reijkard(excuse spelling).Curbs has done a lot of good for our club, but has done a lot of bad things as well.

I have my doubts Pete but if there is any truth in it do you think there will be a big queue of top quality names interested? Not that I have joined the DARK side but if we are to sack him then I hope all the bad press we have had over the last couple of years does not count against us.
