I have just read on Sky Sports web site that he is not being offerd £3 mill to tear up his contract and that he is commited to West Ham [which is more than you could say about one or two others] and Scott Duxbury has appologiesed to Freddie's agent for all the CRAP that the tabloids have been writing about him.

I don't really know how many people gave any credence to this story. I didn't and I won't next time it comes out and you can bet good money that before the next season begins, at least one tabloid will report him going to another club, either here or in his homeland. That is the nature of the press. Freddy L and Nobby Solano are probably our two most creative players. We would be mad to get rid of either of them. Even as squad players they both have plenty to offer.
Think either one will struggle to get a game with Faubert and Dyer fit so the question is is it worth having such highly paid squad players? imo no, off both of 'em
Tend to agree Steve re the rumours, God knows how many we will be involved in before the start of next season. I do like Nobby and think he did ok for a while but feel he will struggle to hold a place in the first 16 if we manage to get a fully fit squad.
I`m well pleased he`s staying, I got quite defensive when I heard he was going, saying to my mate`s "Good, let him go" like a spurned lover, but when alls said & done I didn`t want him to go, he`s still gor plenty of miles on the clock, & if his friend Henry wants to join him, then I wont stand in his way. . .lol
nice. I am pleased that he is staying. He is one of those players that can really help push us to get into europe. I hop ehis contract is lower then before though.
