Rob GreenSubmitted by JACK COLLISON on 11 May, 2008 - 14:36.
Well done Rob Green on getting Hammer Of The Year. I think he does deserve it. Does anybody know who was runner-up?

Well done to Green on hammer
Well done to Green on hammer of the year. Was Ludek the last keeper to get it?

Give him a new contract, he deserves the same pay as out so called stars.. He played every game!
Good luck to Greeno he deserves it and he kept us in the game today with a blinder. Hope he stays now for a long and prosperous future with us that puts paid to the Arsenal rumours: Englands Englands number 1, Englands number 1
HOTY. Rob Green. 2. George McCartney. 3. Matthew Upson. Young Player. James Tomkins. Most Improved. Jack Collison.
I am just glad we didn't lose to be honest. I kind of just wanted the season over (as it kind of has been for a long while for us) so we can start really making us into a contender for the top 6. It's been said many times that this season would be a sort of stabiliser and I guess it was. Next season is going to be the big one - whether we can step up to the plate with the new owners and whether they really do have the right people for the job. I'd like some new lads to go on the sides, a couple of signings with bags of flair - I'd still be kind of happy starting next season with - Green / McCartney / Upson / Ferdinand / Faubert / Etherington / Noble / Parker / Dyer / Bellamy / Ashton - HAVE to get rid of the rubbish though - a BIG clearout is needed (I'm looking at you Quashie) Back onto today - Ashton's goal was sublime, loved it - what I didn't like was the old familiar this season. Almost throwing it completely away as usually. We do like to make life hard for ourselves. We should have finished higher, we could have finished higher - It's easy to blame it on injuries but we did have a ridiculous amount.. I'm not as happy as I thought I'd be at the end of the season but after last I am by no means disappointed!
How can a player who didn't play at all last season and has played about two games this year win 'most improved'? I'd have given that award to McCartney or Carlton who were both pisspoor last year and have done much better this.
Agreed...I mean, you gotta give Collison credit for handling Arsenal, but then again, it's not like he scored or anything. McCartney or Cole should have got it.
Pretty sure Macca got runner up and Tomkins got young player but may be wrong.
Well done Rob, most consistant performer.
Do you know who was runner-up and who got the young Hammer award?
