After all the negativity that has surrounded our club & this site throughout this season I think it`s time we CELEBRATED What we have done!!! Firstly, we`ve finished top~Half of the table, that in itself is no walk in the park!!! Secondly, we beat Man~Ure @ home when we were 1~0 down, who can brag that little gem `eh??? Thirdly, WE BEAT THE MICKEY`S!!! Hahahaha, who remembers Noble stepping up & holding his own in the dying minutes in front of an expectant home crowd, CLASS!!! I`d Love Everyone To Add Their Season Highlights To This Thread, DON`T POST ON HERE IF YOU`RE A DOOM MERCHANT, THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER THREADS FOR YOU TO BLEAT ON!!! So C`mon Optimistic Irons, Tell Us All Your Season Highlights. . . COYBestSupportersInTheLandIrons

Hmmmmm. Interesting that Defoe failing to score a penalty and Lampard being sent off are being picked. So, the incompetence of our former players is the best some can come up with - what about Ronaldo's miss lads, know he is not an ex Hammer but he does play for Manure! Has a season really boiled down to that guys? We were pretty shite but Lampard was sent off La La La La!

I'm happy whenever someone fails to score against us as it's unusual and always good to see the opposition get sent off as it SHOULD help us to win a bit easier, although in both Chelsea and Manure game they ended up putting 4 past us!!! Maybe we should have them bring an extra player on to see if that works?

The highlight for me was when Mike Dean blew his whistle at the end of the villa game so finally we could see the back of a wretched boring season.....ha ha sorry pete just cant help myself!!!!!

Beating Reading 0 - 3 when they had the lion share of the possession was sweet as our counter-attacking play was breath-taking and this was against the same team that smashed us for 6 a few months earlier.

It's been tough sometimes not to be influenced by the negative gang on here and some do make valid points but I firmly stick my flag in the claret and blue glasses quarter and add my two mini irons to that gang..They are claret and blue brain washed and cannot understand at matches the booing that goes on (probably something to do with the fact that it's me who forks out the spondoolics for the tickets). But I am heartened by their total unyielding support for our club..the futures bright the futures full of mini isaacs and their undying support..COYBeautifulIrons..

Great thread Pete..Well chuffed tonight, yes i have had my down moments and the displays have been less than entertaining but Curbs. comments on MOTD makes me hopeful for next term. Even he concedes we have been less than impressive and will be better next time. Looking forward to next season already and hopefully bumping into the rusty cap and co. at various away days COYItAin'tBeenThatBadIrons..

Love the order for the doom and gloom merchants to stay away... Good on ya Pete! My favourite bit was Sears scoring on his debut... Is he the new Tony Cottee? Loved the Manure home game too, everything from Tevez doing the crossed arms to Ronaldo missing a penalty to our stirring come back!

Ahhhhh, the Tevez doing the Hammers sign!!! How could I have missed that out??? Imagine this for a legacy, Tevez, sitting on his porch telling his Granchildren a story about the time he went to England. . . "I spent a year with a team called Westham, The fans were the best I`ve ever experienced, I loved them, they loved me, I had to leave them for a season, things were too hot as far as the F.A were concerned, A team called Sheffield United were very bitter & twisted about getting relegated & your Grandad Carlos was getting blamed for the whole episode, but I didn`t care, I would take this for the team & supporters I loved, even if it meant spending a year up north with the Mancs!!!" "We won the league & Champions League that year, but it meant nothing to me, without Westham I was empty inside!!!" "Westham accepted me back the following year, I think it was the 08/09 season, I was sooo happy, I cried, the Fans cried, it was very special to me, that season we attacked the Premiership, & won it, people said it couldn`t be done & it was a fluke, then we won it again the following year & the year after that. . . After that people stopped talking rubbish & accepted Westham were the best team in Europe" "Eight years I was @ Upton Park & for six of those years we won 6 Premiership Titles/Three F.a Cups & Three Champions League Finals, That`s why they named the train station Carlos Park!!!" Haha, Imagine THAT!!! COYBlowingBubblesIrons

The obvious comeback against Man U but for me it was the win at Boro. I've been going there for years and we always seem to get beat so when Parker scored late on it was a great moment. My Boys were pissing themselves laughing at me as I jumped up & down with a guy I had never met before.

A poor season in terms of excitement for us fans, we usually get more, but Ashtons' long awaited return crowned with a goal was the highlight for me (praying he's still here next season), Green's last minute penalty saves, no relegation battle, finishing above Spares, beating Manure and 'pooh, the emergence of Sears, Tomkins and Collison, the demise of LBM, the no showing of Quashie (thanks god for small miracles). Hope to see you all posting from time to time during the break and lots of positive news coming out of UP. COYhealingoverthesummerIrons

Doom Merchants beware Old Skool Pete is about. LOL So much to celebrate Young Noble converting the last min pen against Liverpool was savage, finishing above the Spuds, the Man U comeback, the Derby away game, Young Sears scoring on his debut, The Counter Attacking Masterclass we gave Reading, the return to form of Deano, the reaction of the away fans to the Tevez Goal, offically the 10th best team in the land(not to shabby for our reserve side, wait till we send out the big boys next year), spending more time at number 10 then Gordan Brown, the emergence of Tomkins. SO much to get behind so much to build upon so lets go F8cking mental LALALALA. Couldn't pick just the one moment. COYI WHTID Bring on the 08/09 season.

3-0 at Reading, after the humiliation of last season it was a vital result. Good to see Etherington looking like his old self. So much promise at that stage! Freddie L's disallowed goal against Arsenal. If it had been allowed to stand it would have been a contender for our goal of the season. Beatifully timed run (too clever for the officials) and a lovely finish! Solano's free kicks. At last we look a threat from dead balls - shame he can't be used like the kicker in NFL. Parker's goal at Boro - what a beaut! The Beatle's scissor kick against Bolton! Ashton's header at home to Fulham - class! And, of course, the best moment, Ashton playing in Sears and the kid scoring! Now I'm off to another forum!

greens penalty save against S***s, great moment being in a pub deep in north london surrounded by a bunch of muppets haha. ashtons overhead kick and seeing the look on van der sars face when it hit the back of the net. upsons bullet header in the 81st minute which sent upton park into raptures. wow their have been some great moments this season. sears coming on to a raptourous reception, sears scoring to a better reception. the smile on brookings face when sears bagged that goal. ermmmmmmmmmm parkers goal at boro in 93rd min. thats about it my son i cannot think nomore:).
