HelloSubmitted by Scarpo Bianco on 14 May, 2008 - 13:51.
Good afternoon. I have just defected from another site that has become a place for supposed West Ham supporters to slag each other off with no content or debate. I have been a West Ham supporter since the age of 10 so I've been going to Upton Park for 31 years. Me and my 11 year old son Ben travel home & away every week from Norwich & have season tickets in the DM stand. I hope this site will be more constructive & have better discussions than the other site I've been on. My big hope is that we can secure the spine of the team for next season (Green, Upson, Ashton). Why has Curbs dealt with the Deano situation sooner?

Welcome Scarpo, hope you
Welcome Scarpo, hope you like it here. The spine of the team are very important players to us and I think would be impossible to replace without spending big money. By on holding on to them we can build around them introduce the ever returning injured, splice in some youth, add the ever presents and hopefully add one or two quailty players(by this I mean as good as the spine). Things are looking optimistic thou, I've been in a good mood since Deano hit the screamer against Villa. Looking forward to next season a fresh start with Europe as our goal. COYI

Hey there, Scrapo! I also used to be in another forum (WHO), but I'm here! You'll enjoy it here. We definitely have more constructive discussions, even though sometimes, things can get a bit heated up, but it's all good. I better get back to my report, welcome to West Ham Fans.org! COYI
Welcome Scarpo. West Ham Till I Die!!!

Welcome Scarpo, like you I defected from another forum to here and have found it most enjoyable. Some very knowledgeable Hammers on here, some with excellent arguments and views. Gets heated sometimes, has it's quiet days but the majority get along and debate everything to do with our great club. Happy to have you here.
Hi scarpo y bienvenido; interesting login name, is there a ‘reason’ behind it? This is a fairly good site/forum for us hammers and I think you’ll be pleased that you defected here; only just found us, how come? There are some knowledgeable people posting here, some that know football really well and can write it up in a not too shabby way too. Love you and your son’s commitment, not all too easy to get around the country from Norwich, every week as well brilliant. Local lad or a cockney hammer moved out? I would have to include Parker and Anton (ouch) in my spine and Deano ah Deano, will he or won’t he? 10 mill from the Mancs eh, I think he’ll stay. Have a good time here Scarpo, say hi to the littlen for me
I was born in the East End but have lived in Norwich most of my life. Scarpo Bianco (White shoes in Italian) started when we went to Parlermo. All the locals seem to be wearing brown shoes. It seemed funny at the time (we had had a few beers!)We were standing by the side of the road singing 'You've only got brown shoes' After a while the group turned on me and my brand new white trainers!! The rest is history. As for the Curbs debate. I feel if the club has got ambition to progress to being a top 6 club we need a manager that can attract big game players & I don't think Curbs is the man for that. If we feel we are a top 10 club and will remain that way Curbs will do a job for us. Thanks for all your welcomes. Me & the lad are off to Toronto for the MLS game in July (the plastics getting a right Hammering - no pun intended)
W H U F C ! I agree mate curbs has done well over the last season and a half, but he certainly cant take us forward and as for attracting big name players he's not the man. He has poor man management skills (seems to fall out with 5 or 6 players a season!!) Did Bent and Nugent come for talks with us and after a discussion with Droopy, decided their futures lie else-where! I know that they aren't big name stars but it still does'nt bode well.
Welcome aboard mate, hopefully you will find this site good but as a couple have mentioned below it can get a bit lively but it is just normally good banter. There are plenty of passionate Hammers that get on but you may find it a bit quiet for a while as some of our older posters need to take a end of season break!
Welcome on board mate. It does get a bit lairey in here sometimes but that is part of the fun. First thing to establish is if you are pro or anti Curbishley. Are you a Curbs or a Turds man? There are two fairly clear camps here, although some do their best to straddle both. The gussets of their underpants must be pretty strong given the gap that is now between the two camps!
Welcome on board Scarpo. I think we're pretty good at debating on here usually, although it does sometimes get a bit heated! In answer to your question, I think it was Scott Duxbury that said that summer was the right time to discuss Deano's contract and it's reassuring to see West Ham move quite quickly on it. I'm more concerned as to why Deano felt that he had to go public with his comments. Lastly, surely contract talks isn't another thing to lay at Curbs' door?
Good shout AIH. I have not been a big Curbs fan over the season, but I am wiping the slate. I hope we can have a good summer & come back with a fully fit squad and prove what we really can do.
