Injury crisis, what crisis? Hammers are bereft of almost half the first team for this vital fixture against cash rich Manchester United. Financial fair play doesn't seem to have quite kicked in yet does it? The haves and the have nots of football just get further apart, and the very ruling that was supposed to level the playing field has actually served to broaden the gulf in wealth.
Rumours are rife that Hammers are pushing for at least three recruitments ahead of the transfer window closing tonight. This sudden need for players is as a result of a catastrophic defensive injury list, the recent injuries to James Collins, James Tomkins and Carl Jenkinson. We will have any real news as soon as! Bloody hell, Carlton to the Baggies! Of course he would be ineligible to play for West Brom against West Ham in the FA Cup. This is not just Sky Sports , Associated Press have confirmed! -Ed

Hamilton Accies left back Stephen Hendrie has flown to London to hold talks with West Ham. Hendrie is out of contract at the end of the season and the 20 year old defender could agree a pre contract deal to join in the summer. Accies vice chairman Ronnie MacDonald (again no pun!) last week criticised the Irons, claiming that a transfer fee in excess of £2m had been agreed. He said Hendrie agreed terms but that West Ham did not complete the deal.
Not such a good fifth round FA Cup draw for the Hammers, any Tony Pulis team is one to avoid, and an away tie against West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns on Saturday 14th of February seems scant reward for all the effort against Everton and to some degree the match against Bristol City.
