I appreciate Lawro is a twat however sour grapes springs to mind over the recent Liverpool game.

His summary and prediction of the Norwich game:

West Ham are another team that had 120 minutes of FA Cup football in midweek, with their extra-time win over Liverpool on Tuesday.

The Hammers are not playing that well anyway, but fatigue from that tie is part of the reason I am backing Norwich here, despite the Canaries' dismal form that has seen them lose five league games in a row and drop into the bottom three.

The last time Norwich had a positive result was when they won back-to-back home games against Southampton and Aston Villa at the turn of the year.

Alex Neil's team have conceded eight goals in their past two home games and they desperately need their results at Carrow Road to improve because their away form is not going to keep them up.

Lawro's prediction: 2-0

Lawro is a twat!... end of.

I think ,even those that played Tuesday night will have enough in the tank and quality,to see off Norwich. To me they look the weakest team in the league on current form , Westham will have too much for them.Even though the injury situation looks a bit grim ,looking at the possible line ups I can only see one winner. If we had our best team 100% fit it would be a mullering.

Norwich City XI: Ruddy; Pinto, Martin, Klose, Brady; Mulumbu, Odjidja-Ofoe, Howson; Redmond, Naismith; Mbokani.

West Ham United XI: Adrian; Byram, Collins, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Obiang, Song, Noble; Antonio, Payet; Valencia.

Once again you lot are biting. To be fair to him, his statement that we aren't playing well was probably based on only 4 league wins since October, that's a 25% win ratio in that period.
He obviously hasn't taken into consideration that there are lies, damn lies and statistics.
Just let him get on with it.

2-0 away. Yes, they are playing Villa, but aren't they "tired"? Didn't Villa just beat Norwich? Aren't they also fighting for their lives? Don't they want to show Benteke a thing or two? But NOOOOOOO, Liverpool have too much quality to lose. Sturridge is too good. Yes they were knocked out of the FA cup, but Lawro was "heartened by their performance and the way they played through midfield." Great, he can take that to bed with him, the Wazzock! Meanwhile we won, and may we strike again Saturday.

He says we arent playing that good anyway, but we still beat liverpool 3 times this season AND drew our other game but still thinks liverpools fa cup performance was 'heartening'... the man is off his rocker, full of contradictory statements and unable to see past his obsession with Liverpool. Also if we dont play well and still beat Liverpool, how s**t does that make them? Or alternatively how GOOD does that make our team? How many times have you seen on MOTD the top 4 teams getting backed to win the league because of the very fact they still win when they play bad? He has lost the plot

Are'nt Poo playing away at a relegation threatened team, did'nt Poo just plat 120 minutes of football AND have a six hour journey back home, are'nt Poo not exactly setting the league on fire with their form' am I missing something here apart from stating the bleedin obvious. Is'nt Mark Lawrenson a contrary over the hill has been.

I'm gona be a stick in the mud and back him on this one. Liverpool will play the worst team in the league they also have the luxury of playing fresher and better players than they did against us. We have also picked up another minimum of three injuries, so his predictions are not surprising to me altho I don't agree with him it's probably a bit off the chart to react too much this time. One point I do agree on is top teams get credit when they get points whilst not playing well but not us! And yes there are plenty of times we don't play well ATM. Probably the one thing we need to sort out most, consistency and maybe not being on the money from minute 1

Why don't we do our own prediction against Lawro....
Saturday he got 5 out of 7 totally wrong... and two incorrect win score lines.

Today so far he got 1 out of 3 wrong

He's a washed out old has been with barely a pass-mark for being a pundit in the first place. His ridiculous job is to compete with celebrity B-listers on what may or may not happen, big wow! His attracting attention from different sets of fans in a negative way puts the spotlight on him and extends his career. If we want rid of him West Ham fans as one should just ignore him and not supply the oxygen required to keep the job going. He'll then turn his attention to another club in a negative way and hopefully they'll ignore him too and bring an end to his sh1tty little job.

Very funny Lawro's predictions this week - they got Sascha Baron Cohen promoting his latest film where he plays a football fan and supposed admirer of Lawro's... He's got us down for a 0-27 loss to Sunderland! haha

West Ham's season keeps getting better and better and I think they are as fit, strong and athletic as any team in the league.

We know that because they keep coming back in away games when they have been under the cosh, and they have got some unsung players in their squad - Mark Noble never gets the credit he deserves.

It is a boost for the Hammers that Diafra Sakho is on his way back to full fitness but they are short of available centre-halves, so losing James Collins to a hamstring injury is a big blow.
Despite beating Tottenham on Wednesday, West Ham are not getting any mentions when it comes to the title race. I don't think they are going to win it but they have put themselves in the frame for the top four. Well well well he's giving us credit at last!
