Next Saturday I will be going along to pick our seats for the new era in Stratford. Pointless arguing or debating the move as nothing can stop it, and this is hopefully a stepping stone to a bigger and brighter future. I'm going along with a friend who currently sits in Band 1, we are currently in Band 4, and I am taking advantage of his ability to add 2 seats to his allocation per seat. I don't agree with it as I could be someone going along that has never held a season ticket in my life, but would still get advantage over people that are and that have been for many years? The lack of take up of additional seats for the last season at Upton Park has prompted the club to make this offer so I'm merely doing what many others have chosen to do, it will cost me only £125 per season more for me and Oliver to move from Band 4 to Band 1. I am looking forward to it and am excited, Stratford is 18 minutes and one stop on the train for us, but the Mrs is worried given that I will no longer be driving to games.....

Are we all now looking forward to the move and how many of you have been to view seats or will be soon?

Sadly true - Beijing's 'bird nest' stadium for example is now derelict according to reports.

When quizzed as to what would generate the necessary money to keep the stadium as some form of legacy, they all go blank......and now these supporter groups have come forward and are pushing for yet another review which would cost the tax payers about 5-10 years of the rent we will be paying?

Karen Brady stated that we offered to buy it, whereas other wanted to flatten it and in doing so erase all memory of one of our countries finest moments. The Olympics created what is now a fantastic and proud part of sporting history so why oh why wouldn't you want to keep it for as long as possible?

So the sale of Band 2 seats is proving to be a problem, as the additional two seats offered to every season ticket holder has obviously had a great response in Band One already. Existing season ticket holders in Band 2 are being offered seats in Rows 56 and above, and some have claimed that they have told the club where to go. The panic move to allow additional seats, before the initial consultation, was a wrong move as it allowed new season ticket holders to take preference over existing. I predicted the difficulty of us retaining a similar position at the new stadium as a Band 4 holder, hence me moving to Band 1 for the new stadium as an addition to an existing ticket holder.

The World cup union games at the OS I would think are sold out by now, but if any of you guys are into Rugby League then the Kiwi's are playing England at the OS on the 7th Nov.

One way in getting a rekkey of the stadium before the season starts.. Tickets are not a bad price either. If my mate drops out of the Everton game that day I might make the effort and go to this as it falls on my day off....
