Well it seems old Sliders Maguire is on his way to us as I speak. Since famously getting his sliders in a twist on holiday in Mykonos a couple of years ago. Apart from representing England, Maguire has been pretty poor it has to be said.

All the digs aside, I reckon he will kick start his career again with us. I'll give him a chance.

Sliiiiiiiders..........

Old leigh mate, recommend it on a sunny day

His age and sell on value. Positives? The way Moyes plays, I think Maguire will be the player he was at Leics and the player he is for England. At the end of the day, the board have kept Moyes on and BACKED him. IT ain't gonna be pretty, and Big Sam got slaughtered for far less. At least he played with a striker to his strengths.

I reckon Moyes has had as much stick as Sam or even more! For 18 months it was constant & I was a part of it,I thought he should have gone before the world cup but he won us a European trophy & kept us up when it looked dodgy...credit where, credits due also Sully played a blinder over 41...105 mill he ain't worth anywhere near that, sorry guys my opinion

Granted, I don't go to games any more except to cherrypick the odd one here and there, but I was a ST holder during the Big Sam era and it got quite boring listening to the chanting of abuse he got from the crowd which I don't seem to hear from the crowd of today with Moyes. The football of today is no improvement on those days (in my opinion it's worse) but given the amount of money that Moyes has spent ( and lost) you'd expect a massive improvement wouldn't you? Please don't chuck the Mickey Mouse trophy we've won recently at me because it's my opinion that the promotion won under Sam was far more valuable given the circumstances of those days.

I go to every home game, and i can say that Moyes dosent get blasted at all,all i here is David Moyes Claret and Blue Army....Sam got an utter roasting at Upton Park all the time, and i must say in my opinion it wasnt called for.

Difference is that Allardyce’s ego got in the way. The cupping of the ear the piss taking of what our culture is. The constant trying to get players to sign with his son so he could get a backhander. Unfortunately for Allardyce and it’s why he’s not a serious manager anymore is those things catch up with you. The England job for ffs, one game in charge and he wanted more backhanders. If he was made of chocolate he’s eat himself. I’ve been in his company when he was at WH and since and he’s not the nicest bloke. I think fans pick up on that.

Met up with Big Sam at an away game at the hotel the team were staying at. They ended up all chatting to about three in the morning in the bar.
Noble speaks highly of him too in his autobiography.
Never met the man myself but I was at the game where he cupped his ear. A whole 90 minutes of fans slagging him off, but more importantly, the players on that day were dire. At half time as they trooped off, Tomkin's clearly shouted out to the fans to F**k off. True story. I was there.

I sometimes think on here we are serial moaners and lambasters of the negative.

In the real world Essex is right, I don't hear an awful lot of it, Booed off at HT sometimes and 90 mins, but other than that I think the natives are relatively content...

Oi big boy, what's your name?

Thats right they are Boogers, even when we were in the bottom three and struggling, there wasnt any shouting for Moyes head, just the booing at the times you said,it was on here where he was getting it.

At the actual games...mostly on social media, but i went in person to a lot of the games under Sam & I Hardly heard anything cos we wanted Westham to go up! Just like we wanted to stay up under Moyes...if you go to games, spend your hard earned & time imo you have more right to express an opinion than the armchair fan that i am now! Just a thought as I eat my Ruby!;)
