i dont know about anyone else but i think this guy could well have been the worst manager in our history , i know , i know he took us back to the prem , he's kept us mid table , thing is right with the likes of say Roeder , everyone new he was a complete prat but with Sam its not like that, there area sizable minority that think he is good for this club , and so you have division and even animosity among fans , i'll tell you one thing , they'll be waiting in line to have him as a pundit next year , the muphets on motd , sky, bt , they'll be wanting all the juicy bits , all the dirt on west ham and how the poor old soul wasn't appreciated, and you know what ? he wont be slow bad mouthing us , old Liniker & Lauro will be foaming at the mouth , on the edge of their seats , can you imagine super prat limiker at the end of the interview turning to face the camera with that gobsmacked expression on his boat, it'll go something like this [" and there you are , big Sam , some would say what were west ham thinking , i would say he's better off out of there , a club that doesn't know when they've a good manager ?, well maybe they dont deserve a good manager "] never mind Sam Russel Brand still loves you

Like you say, most of the pundits don't know what the are talking about most of the time, so I really can't be arsed about what they say. Sam is/was the second longest manager, after Wenger, in the Premier League, so there are 18+ clubs those tossers should criticise before us! The Hell with the lot of them.

Yeah, these TV pundits get right on my t*ts! I WOULD NOT have bitten anyone's hand off if offered 11th place; I'd have said it was satisfactory, that is all, no real progress considering we were 10th 2 years before! Lawro hates us so much he thinks the best we can hope for is to avoid relegation! What a git! And if I hear one more person say "be careful what you wish for" I'm gonna strangle them! Even Tony Cottee has been at it, I'd have hoped he knew a bit more about the situation at West Ham, and they way most fans feel.

He'll feel hard done by for sure burkie, I sometimes think we're too analytical because it's our team, if we'd fast forwarded from last season to this and found that we finished mid table I expect a majority would be happy, unfortunately it's the performances that got us to this position that we all hate, and that's why other fans and pundits think we're daft to get rid of him, we are improving every season but I don't think it's quick enough for us fans, I think it's time for change but I'm really concerned about what we're going to end up with, if it's Moyes or MaClaren then I'm going to be gutted and I'd sooner keep Allardyce

Think " amongst the worst
Think " amongst the worst Managers" is tad overboard Burkie but " the fiasco " he presided over in the 2nd half of the season was absolutely hideous particularly on the eye!! What's most alarming was the absolute lack of creativity,width and goal threat he presided over in the latter part of the season. We were possible THE WORST team to watch during that period. Save maybe buying Cresswell he has not invested/ brought through/nurtured any young talent ( but that's par for the course from him). We have undoubtedly " had the best " out of him and the time is right to inject " new blood" and build a platform for our future. Whether you view it as " lucky" how he got us back up at the first time of asking is down to the individual BUT HE DID and that saved us " from who knows what ". For that at least I will be grateful.
Not worst at all
His football style and the way his team applied it on the pitch being as good as the squad were was probably the worst yes but the players have something to answer for too.
But four years of it was brutal for me and at times i hated him with a vengeance because we were always playing a type of style that was below our capabilities and we know that because we saw the evidence at the start of the season we were 4th and then he blew it.
