LOL!!!!!!.....................It was stated from the mouth of lady Brady that the move was essential in the form of progression!!!!!! We have seen fair little of that.

I understood the board of directors wants for moving to LS, however much of the 10 point pledge hasn't come to fruition. For us to really compete at the top half of the league will take huge financial input, sadly for us we've stood by and watched a host of similar sized traditional clubs land significant outside investment, I really cannot believe that Everton, Palace, Villa, Fulham etc have enticed major investors to either stabilise, or enhance their ability to compete and we haven't ( Tripp- Smith aside). Unfortunately it leaves us, more or less in the same situation competitively as prior to the move.

As I said above no progression, but you look at the likes of Wolves,Burnley, those sort of teams, and there is many of them, that don't have the sort of revenue coming in,and no where near the fanbase that we have, play with respect for themselves and basically make us look small fry,and we have taken supposedly a step forward in the going to the pleasure dome, but really we haven't,we have got no where.

You are absolutely right, but the worse thing of all imo we have lost our identity as a community club, weve become the butt of all jokes because of those 3,the taxpaying public snear at us cos of those 3,we used to be everyones favourite 2nd team back in the day not anymore....opposing fans used to begrudgingly respect us not anymore as the chant goes "youre not westham anymore!!" you cant argue with that

I agree totally. We were a well liked club, from winning the world cup,to be known for our way and style of football.Upton Park was a fortress,it was tight and close knit,we were respected. Now we are a piss take from the top to the bottom. The Cearns and the Browns had their faults, but these 3,dont seem to grasp me in a way that other business people do at their level,i get the feeling with them, they do things on a wim, rather shallow, not much depth of thought.

Not sure about the fortress bit we went down under Grant, Roeder, Bonds and Lyall (twice) while at UP, the board have given us a well respected manager and given him more than sufficient funds, The Cearns held back investment and Brown took what he could. As for Green Street and surrounding area lets be honest not the prettiest is it!

You know Im a fan of Stratford 65 but I do appreciate the lost identity. Its not just the Pee take of the away fans its US! I feel that our fans are just resigned to loosing and accepting shoddy service and treatment all round, examples such as the crap service in the stadium, the treatment from the clowns masquerading as security, the herding of fans after the game and giving priority to the away fans, rout marching round Westfield, I could go on all night but my point is the fans in the past were famous ...no infamous for a fight, IMO, its gone! So maybe when they sing "youre not westham anymore" maybe theres a bit more to it than just a new stadium?
