Submitted by Hammers65 on Thu, 06/07/2023 - 18:35

Calls for the one & only DH to come up with another blinding physio room tale got me thinking if the old mob still look in?
ANTKB pops on now & again,Essex hammer,Chippy dave,Bondsy...but what about the others I remember? Red Neck iron used to love putting a quiz up,Moore 6 legend ( Stan) his son posted some time ago,Fred 149,Harry the Hammers,Irons 65 I think he was from Swansea? Made me laugh used to wear his westham shirt in the valleys & good for you mate, ashes hammer etc & a few of the boys from down under

Moore 6 legend,I instantly clicked with this man, canning town born & I believe he moved to herne Bay in Kent.Your son posted some time ago,I hope you're OK my friend.xx

Fareham is alive and well, I regularly communicate with him on Twitter. Actually he has just posted on there with a comment and link to the Org which got me to have a look in!

WesthamtilIdie passed away sadly quite early in his retirement in Spain, a true West Ham fan who offered me many a free seat whn his sons couldn't go. Man from DelMonte, another die hard fan and still a season ticket holder in the 66 seats I'm still loosely in touch with left this site in the very early days with the toxicity of a certain Fanno. Aycliff, better nicknamed as the Rev is doing well and happy and I see Plaistow Hammer, a very early original member still writes on here. I've seen Old Skool Pete looking in sometimes in the registry so most are still in the area

I actually wondered when this thread went up that it was quite possible some of the old orgers had passed. Seems many just moved away from the keyboard as it was too toxic.

In those days you're not wrong mate, there were people who could have a row in a phone Box or is it just me!!glad that it's moved on

If you had an opinion that went against the general flow back in those days. You would be stalked at every opportunity and consistantly rebuked for a comment you might have made years ago. It has calmed down massively here and is less toxic than those days. I remember making a comment years ago that Carlton Cole should be sued under the trade descriptions act for calling himself a striker. Blimey, how long did that "debate" go on for?

But I've grown quite attached to it now. Maybe we'll meet up for a game one day and be on first name terms but as we're both armchair fans with a reluctance to visit the Bowl of Misery, that may be some time off. :D

Remember him now you mention him. There were a couple of Aussies on here too whose names escape me right now as well

G’day mate, nice to hear from you and glad you are keeping well. I’m doing great, managed to retire early and have managed to persuade all 3 kids to vacate Aycliffe towers!!!
Mind I’m a grandad now and my daughter likes to keep me and Lady Aycliffe busy with childminding duties so much so another grandchild is being delivered in November!! ⚒

of real characters when I first joined the group, some seem to keep an eye on the site but don’t comment much now. I would love to greet and meet any that are going to be in Perth this week as I am flying over from Scone on Thursday for both games.
