Hammers Cup Tie At Risk Due To Storm Agnes!

West Ham United's Wednesday night League Cup fixture against Lincoln City is in serious danger of being called off due to the impending arrival of storm Agnes. With wind speeds in excess of 80 MPH and torrential rain predicted to arrive in the Midlands from Tuesday evening through until Wednesday night, the fixture will be unplayable because of genuine safety fears for those attending the game.

A Lincoln City spokesperson is quoted as saying that the club, in conjunction with the local council, will be keeping a close eye on the progress of storm Agnes and that the safety of the public is paramount and will dictate whether the game will be postponed or rescheduled.

The aim is to give a clear indication at to what will happen because someHammers fans will have already made arrangements to travel up to the Midlands and that the match itself is a sell out, meaning there could be mass disruption for ALL those who intended to be at the

When we'd travel to away games in freezing winter with a foot of snow? Wasn't that long ago was it?

Remember going upto WBA for a FA Cup game. Could not see the goal for freezing fog. Or up at Roker Park for a 4th round FA Cup tie in February. Bastards opened the gates opposite the away end and the ice cold wind from the North Sea blew in.

Have I said it before ( probably repeated meself) 4 nil at Uppers,the plastic mancs,Corlton Cale ( god bless you DH) Super Johnny Spector!! F& cking didn't bother us in the freezing snow in the old chicken run upper,I must have cuddled many an old gentlemen that night aided by my Beautiful daughter & Proud,strong son...nonces or whatever?? F*ck off this is Westham for gods sake!!
