Before fans get too carried away by the results of today's unique tandem West Ham United friendlies, it should be remembered that the last time the club trounced all opposition before the start of a season the team ended up getting relegated. That said, it would be hard not to admit the joy of watching not one but two excelllent performances at the same time!

West Ham United take on Ipswich and Wycombe in a unique double header set of friendlies this tuesday afternoon at 2PM BST, information about the line ups is vague at the moment, but we shall endevour to upload when they are fully available, although given these games are being played in the strangest of circumstances errors will occur. The Ipswich match costs a tenner to watch vi Ipswich's media streaming platform whereas the Wycombe match is being streamed free of charge.

West Ham United do like a protracted transfer situation, it is one of the reasons the Press adores the club, never a dull moment and always good for a 'throw away' line. Think of some of the past seasons' transfer fiascos, Gomez, Bacca etc, so any attempted deal to bring QPR's Eze Eberechi to the London Stadium was always going to be drawn out, and thus it appears.

There has been much media chat about the sale of Jordan Hugill to Norwich and Albian Ajeti to Celtic, Hugill's £36,000 per week contract was due to expire on June 30th 2021, so to get those wages off the annual bill and get what will eventually be around £5 Million for a player in the final year of their contract wasn't the appalling piece of business that it is being made out to be.

Jordan Hugill has completed his permanent move, for an undisclosed fee from West Ham United to newly relegated Norwich City. The forward has signed a three year deal that will keep him at Carrow Road, where he is expected to flourish, in to his thirties.

Porto expect to conclude a deal for West Ham prospect Benicio Baker-Boaitey this week, the highly-rated 16-year-old winger has confirmed his departure from the Irons after failing to reach agreement over a professional contract. Baker-Boaitey has previously held talks with Champions League finalists Bayern Munich, Paris St Germain and Benfica but arrived in Portugal last week and is expected to sign for the Portuguese champions before linking up with their U19s.

Jack Wilshere is an easy target for fans, fan sites and the media in general, his few appearances have until recent years always held the promise that 'one day, maybe', he would return to the superb footballer that he was originally destined to be. Wilshere is still only 28 years old, he should be in his prime but instead he is in decline.

This cannot be, West Ham United, perennial supporters of the catastrophically long term injury' league, might transfer their star 'cripple' over the border to Scotland, with Glasgow Rangers being his unlikely destination. However before fans start to dance in the streets, any deal relating to 'Jack's' departure would almost inevitably involve some form of financial cushion for the 'victims'.

On Tuesday next week, West Ham will face Ipswich Town and Wycombe Wanderers, with both games kicking off at 2pm and both being available through media streaming platforms, the Hammers have also confirmed that they will host Brentford, who narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier League, in a hastily arranged friendly to be played on Saturday August 21st at the London Stadium. The Irons will then travel to play another Championship side, Reading, on Tuesday September 1st, before competing in the Betway Cup.
