The other thing thats annoys me is forgetting the first booking, usually when a player is on a card the ref gives them a talking to or warning if they commit another foul - unless its an atrocious tackle or similar and lets the player know they are at risk of being sent off. The second foul was barely even a foul, it was shoulder to shoulder, with Cresswells raised arm perhaps being the infringement... not a booking though! Exceptionally harsh and bad judgement by the ref on both occasions. If we had this standard of refereeing in every match, Costa and Feilaini would never get on the pitch - but of course it never works like that does it?

watched it on MOTD, differently a penalty and the second was not even a foul, great 3 points. Watched the first half Zaza was much better, we have missed cres. COYI

Cresswell played like he really had no injury. Apart from one minor error where he was out of position that resulted in Palace having their first attempt at goal, he was superb. That was a penalty if you compare it to Mcqueen's (Southampton v Burnley), where he dived and it was even more obvious.

Clearly, the commentators stated that Zaha also, was tugging at Cresswell and went down very easily. Compare Costa's blatant stud showing tackle on Adrian even after he was already on a yellow at the start of the season, surely Anthony Taylor should be banned from the West Ham matches especially as he was controversial in handing out red cards to Adrian the previous season and Carlton Cole a couple of seasons ago for the most innocous unintended so called fouls. This referee, if he is not 100% certain, should at the most award a free kick against Cresswell, for that foul and not red card one of the least malicious players in the premier division. Zaha is no saint and has committed some really horrible fouls including melodramatic acts in his previous matches.

By the way the Sun has attacked West Ham in it's inability to sell the remaining 10,000 tickets, pointing it out as the "fan's revolt" against the whole Olympic Stadium "fiasco". True or false?

Clearly, the weather did not suit Payet as he had a very quiet game by his standards.

three very important points, good win. Cresswell was excellent although it was returned from an injury. Great assist for the goal of Lanzini. COYI

Well what a result. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect any sort of result or performance from them. Gutted Cresswell will miss the Sunderland game coz I think he really made a difference. Zaza actually played really well too. Still no goal but better performance. We actually looked organised and played as a team which I believe is the 1st time we've done that this season for 90 minutes

Mate of mine who's a Palace fan was at the match and he readily admitted we were the better team and the way we played the ball was much superior. Glad we got the win despite Cresswells sending off as to lose 2 points would of been a real salt in the wound!
